   Day 3-8 Fire Weather Outlook

   Valid 081200Z - 141200Z

   Progressive, split mid-level flow will persist through much of the
   forecast period. Cooler air will overspread the eastern two-thirds
   of the country as a northern-stream mid-level trough moves across
   the country. The cool-air intrusion will limit the overall
   fire-weather threat during the forecast period. Toward the end of
   the period, a trough developing across the west will allow for
   mid-level ridging and increased mid-level flow to overspread
   portions of the Plains. This may result in an uptick in fire-weather
   potential, but the bulk of this activity will occur beyond this
   forecast period.

   Across the Southwest, warming temperatures will result in a decrease
   in relative humidity across the region. Light winds should mitigate
   any large-scale fire-weather threat.
