   Fire weather concerns are not expected during the Day 3-8 period.
   Generally cold conditions with strong surface high pressure will
   persist east of the Rockies for much of the period. Across the
   western U.S, the surface pressure gradient across southern CA will
   occasionally favor offshore winds. However, the gradient is not
   forecast to be strong enough to warrant fire weather concerns due to
   strong winds at this time. Additionally, there may be an opportunity
   for at least some light precipitation across parts of central into
   southern CA during the extended period.
