   FLOW ALOFT FROM WA/OR EWD INTO ND AND MN...WITH LIGHT WINDS FOR THE
   REST OF THE NATION.  UPPER RIDGE WILL HOLD OVER THE SRN ROCKIES AND
   GREAT BASIN...WITH A CONTINUATION OF HOT DRY AND UNSTABLE
   CONDITIONS.

   / NWRN NM / SRN WY...
     
   PRIMARY CONDITIONS:  HIGH POTENTIAL FOR PLUME DOMINATED FIRES
   
   A VERY HOT AND DRY AIRMASS WILL COMBINE WITH LIGHT WINDS ONCE AGAIN
   TO PRODUCE WEATHER CONDITIONS FAVORABLE FOR PLUME DOMINATED FIRES. 
   OVERALL...NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TODAY AND YESTERDAY.  VERY
   STEEP LAPSE RATES AND LOW RH THROUGH THE LOW LEVELS OF THE
   ATMOSPHERE...HAINES INDEX OF 6 THROUGHOUT THE AREA...WITH THE
   DRIEST AND MOST UNSTABLE CONDITIONS CENTERED ALONG THE UT/CO BORDER
   SWD INTO ERN AZ AND WRN NM.  WINDS WILL BE A BIT STRONGER INTO SRN
   WY AS WELL AT 15-20 MPH AND GUSTY...BUT QUICKLY WEAKEN TO THE
   SOUTH.    
   
   ...CENTRAL/WRN WY...
   WINDS WILL BE A BIT LIGHTER TODAY THAN ON SUNDAY...BUT WILL STILL
   APPROACH CRITICAL LEVELS DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.  SUSTAINED WLY
   WINDS OF 15-20 MPH ARE EXPECTED ON AVERAGE...WITH HIGHER SPEEDS
   INTO THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS.  MINIMUM RH VALUES WILL REACH 10
   PERCENT OR LESS IN PLACES...WITH MOST LOCATIONS STAYING BELOW 20
   PERCENT DURING THE DAYTIME HOURS.  OVERLAP OF MARGINAL WIND
   CONDITIONS WITH CRITICAL AREA 1 WILL OCCUR OVER SRN WY TODAY.

   A COLD FRONT STRETCHING FROM THE WRN DAKOTAS INTO NERN WY THIS
   MORNING WILL MOVE SEWD TODAY...SHIFTING WINDS FROM SELY TO NWLY. 
   SPEEDS OF 20-30 MPH WILL BE COMMON EARLY OVER THE WESTERN DAKOTAS
   AND NERN WY...THEN 15-25 MPH WITH FRONTAL PASSAGE LATER TODAY OVER
   THE ERN DAKOTAS AND WRN NEBRASKA.  RH IS EXPECTED TO BE MARGINAL AT
   20-30 PERCENT DURING THE AFTERNOON.

   FAST WLY FLOW ALOFT WILL HELP MAKE IT WINDY TODAY...ESPECIALLY OVER
   NRN MT AND ALONG THE E SLOPES.  WIND SPEEDS WILL AVERAGE 20-30 MPH
   SUSTAINED...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  RH IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW

   WEAK UPPER LOW WILL BRING SOME MOISTURE INTO THE SWRN U.S. AND
   GREAT BASIN...AND WILL BRING THE THREAT OF DRY THUNDERSTORMS.  HOT
   AND MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST OVER MUCH OF THE FOUR
   CORNERS AREA...ALTHOUGH CLOUDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE.  IT WILL BE
   HOT AND DRY INTO OR AND ID AS WELL.  WINDS WILL BE A BIT LIGHTER
   ACROSS OR/ID/MT/WY AS SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENTS SLACKEN.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS:  DRY LIGHTNING ALONG WITH POTENTIAL FOR PLUME
   DOMINATED FIRES
   
   MID AND HIGH LEVEL MOISTURE WILL SURGE NWD ON TUESDAY...WITH AXIS
   FROM SWRN AZ NWD INTO NV.  GIVEN VERY STEEP LAPSE RATES IN
   PLACE...AND WEAK LOW LEVEL UPSLOPE FLOW AND CONVERGENCE...HIGH
   BASED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO FORM.  IT IS UNLIKELY MUCH RAIN
   WILL FALL...BUT LIGHTNING WILL BE A POSSIBILITY.  EXPERIMENTAL
   LIGHTNING IGNITION EFFICIENCIES REMAIN VERY HIGH.  IN
   ADDITION...AREAS THAT REMAIN RELATIVELY UNAFFECTED BY CLOUDINESS
   WILL HAVE A HIGH POTENTIAL OF PLUME DOMINATED FIRES...ESPECIALLY
   OVER UT...WRN CO...NRN AZ AND NWRN NM.  CRITICAL AREA WILL BE
   REFINED IN NEXT DAY 1 PACKAGE ONCE BEST AREAS CAN BE PINPOINTED.

   AFTERNOON WLY WINDS OF 15-20 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS ARE EXPECTED
   OVER THE SRN AZ DESERTS...ALONG WITH RH NEAR 15 PERCENT.  INCREASE
   IN MOISTURE AND ATMOSPHERIC STABILITY...ALONG WITH UPPER LEVEL
   CLOUDINESS WILL HELP TO MITIGATE FIRE THREAT...HOWEVER WIND AND RH
   COMBINATIONS WILL POSE SOME HAZARD.
