DAY 1 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWE98 KWNS
   VALID 211200-221200

...NO LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
THE UPPER TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST ACROSS CANADA...WITH
TROUGH AXIS EXTENDING FROM WRN MANITOBA TO CNTRL CO BY 22/0000Z.
ASSOCIATED SFC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NRN GREAT LAKES AND
NRN/CNTRL PLAINS THROUGH THE PERIOD. STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS / 15 TO
25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH / WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE SRN/CNTRL
PLAINS SOUTH OF THE FRONT. GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS ARE LIKELY ACROSS
THE DAKOTAS/NEBRASKA AFTER THE FRONTAL PASSAGE. AN UPPER LOW
PRESSURE OFF THE CA COAST WILL REMAIN OFFSHORE AS IT MOVES NORTH
TODAY. MID LEVEL FLOW WILL INCREASE ACROSS CA/NV TO 20-35
KTS...WHICH WILL RESULT IN STRONG SFC WINDS OF 15-25 MPH IN THE
   VALLEY/DESERT REGIONS BY THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING.

   ...NW/WRN NV...
ISOLATED DRY TSTMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON/TONIGHT...AS
INCREASED MID LEVEL MOISTURE MOVES INTO THE AREA FROM THE WEST. AN
UPPER LEVEL LOW OFF THE CA COAST SHOULD PROVIDE LARGE SCALE FORCING
FOR TSTMS TO DEVELOP. STORMS WHICH DEVELOP ACROSS THE SIERRA RANGE
OF CA SHOULD CONTAIN RAIN. HOWEVER...STORMS WHICH AFFECT THE VALLEY
LOCATIONS OF WRN NV ESPECIALLY MAY CONTAIN LITTLE OR NO
   RAIN...GIVEN THE DRY BOUNDARY LAYER.

   ...CNTRL/SRN PLAINS...
STRONG SFC WINDS OF 15-25 MPH WILL INCREASE THE THREAT FOR ANY WIND
DRIVEN FIRES TODAY. HIGHER GUSTS TO 30-35 MPH ARE POSSIBLE AS WELL.
RH VALUES SHOULD GENERALLY RANGE FROM 40-60 PERCENT ACROSS THE
MAJORITY OF THE AREA. IN PORTIONS OF ERN CO/WRN KS AND THE OK/TX
PANHANDLES THOUGH...MINIMUM RH VALUES MAY DROP TO AROUND 30
PERCENT. TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB INTO THE 90S AHEAD OF THE
FRONT...WITH COOLER READINGS ACROSS THE NRN PLAINS BEHIND THE
   FRONT.

DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWI98 KWNS
   VALID 221200-231200

...NO LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
AN UPPER TROUGH WILL MOVE ACROSS ERN CANADA THROUGH THE FORECAST
PERIOD...WITH THE TROUGH AXIS TO BE LOCATED FROM ONTARIO THROUGH
THE SRN PLAINS BY 23/0000Z. A SFC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
PLAINS AND EXTEND FROM THE ERN GREAT LAKES THROUGH THE OH RIVER
VALLEY BY 23/0000Z. THE STRONGEST FLOW...BOTH ALOFT AND AT THE
SFC...WILL BE ACROSS THE NRN PLAINS AND NORTHEAST STATES THROUGH
THE PERIOD. AN UPPER LOW OFF THE WEST COAST WILL MOVE NORTH AS AN
ASSOCIATED SHORTWAVE TROUGH MOVES INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THE
UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BEGIN TO BUILD ACROSS THE DESERT
   SOUTHWEST ONCE AGAIN.

   ...NRN CA/OR/WA/WRN ID...
AS A SHORTWAVE TROUGH MOVES INTO THE AREA BY MONDAY AFTERNOON...
LARGE SCALE LIFT AND INCREASING MID LEVEL MOISTURE SHOULD BE
SUFFICIENT TO INITIATE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. ISOLATED DRY
TSTMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH DRY BOUNDARY LAYER CONDITIONS AND STEEP
LAPSE RATES FORECAST. MID LEVEL WINDS ALSO INCREASE ACROSS THE
AREA...WHICH WILL ENHANCE THE THREAT FOR STRONG TSTM WIND GUSTS.

   ...CNTRL CA/WRN NV...
SFC WINDS ARE FORECAST TO INCREASE ACROSS THIS AREA ON MONDAY IN
RESPONSE TO A BUILDING RIDGE ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST AND AN UPPER LOW
OFFSHORE. SFC WINDS IN THE VALLEYS WILL RANGE FROM 15-25 MPH WITH
HIGHER GUSTS TO 30 MPH POSSIBLE. MINIMUM RH VALUES WILL RANGE FROM
10-20 PERCENT...WITH AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 90S/100S.
THIS AREA IS EXPERIENCING MODERATE LONG TERM DROUGHT...AND MAY BE
UPGRADED TO A CRITICAL AREA IN THE NEXT OUTLOOK.
