...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR - NRN CA...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A DEEP UPPER TROUGH ACROSS THE WEST WILL FINALLY BEGIN TO MOVE EAST
BY THURSDAY. THE MAIN UPPER LOW WILL BE LOCATED ACROSS SRN NV/NW AZ
BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT...AND THEN TRACK INTO UT BY THURSDAY MORNING. A
STRONG SFC COLD FRONT CURRENTLY ACROSS THE CNTRL/SRN PLAINS...WILL
CONTINUE MOVING SE...AND EXTEND ACROSS THE OH VALLEY/NW TX BY
THURSDAY MORNING. STRONG SFC WINDS AND LOW RH VALUES ARE EXPECTED
ACROSS PORTIONS OF CA/DESERT SOUTHWEST TODAY.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA 1 - NRN CA...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: SUSTAINED SFC WINDS 15-30 MPH WITH LOCALLY
HIGHER GUSTS/MINIMUM RH VALUES 10-15 PERCENT...

STRONG NLY SFC WINDS OF 15-30 MPH ARE EXPECTED AGAIN TODAY ACROSS
MUCH OF NRN/CNTRL CA. LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS TO 40-45 MPH ARE LIKELY
AS WELL. IN ADDITION...MINIMUM RH VALUES MAY DROP TO AROUND 10-15
PERCENT. RECENT OBSERVED FIRE DANGER VALUES HAVE RISEN OVER THE
PAST 2 DAYS...IN RESPONSE TO THE DRY NLY FLOW. A CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER AREA WILL BE ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF NRN CA WHERE FIRE
DANGER VALUES ARE THE HIGHEST. HOWEVER...STRONG NLY WINDS WILL BE
COMMON ACROSS CNTRL AND SRN PORTIONS OF CA. MINIMUM RH VALUES WILL
BE A BIT HIGHER THOUGH...IN THE 15-25 PERCENT RANGE.

   ...AZ/NM...
STRONG SW WINDS OF 15-25 MPH ARE EXPECTED TODAY...WITH LOCALLY
HIGHER GUSTS TO 40-45 MPH POSSIBLE. HIGHER RH VALUES AND COOLER
TEMPERATURES WILL PREVENT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. MINIMUM
RH VALUES IN THE DESERTS/VALLEYS MAY FALL INTO THE 20-30 PERCENT
RANGE. FOR MUCH OF NRN AZ/NW NM...RH VALUES WILL BE HIGHER / 30-50
PERCENT / AS A COOLER AIRMASS MOVES IN FROM THE NORTH.
