DAY 1 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWE98 KWNS
   VALID 061200-071200

...NO LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED...

   ...SYNOPSIS...

EARLY MORNING WATER VAPOR IMAGERY INDICATES A BROAD HIGH PRESSURE
SYSTEM BUILDING SEWD ALONG THE WEST COAST. AN UPPER TROUGH IN NRN
BAJA...COUPLED WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED HIGH...WILL RESULT IN
MODERATE OFFSHORE FLOW THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD FROM THE SRN ORE COAST
THROUGH SRN CA...MAINTAINING WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS.
MEANWHILE...EXPECT A MID-LVL TROUGH AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT TO
APPROACH THE OH VALLEY AND NEW ENGLAND. THIS WILL INCREASE THE
CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND USHER IN COOLER TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA.

   ...CA/SRN ORE...

A STRONG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD ACROSS SRN ORE AND NRN
CA WHILE AN UPPER-LVL LOW DEEPENS OVER BAJA CA. THE PREVAILING
OFFSHORE FLOW WILL PRODUCE WARM TEMPERATURES WITH RELATIVELY LOW
HUMIDITIES...WHILE SUPPRESSING THE MARINE LAYER. AS A
RESULT...LOOK FOR POOR OVERNIGHT RH RECOVERIES. IN ADDITION...A
THERMAL LOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY 07/03Z ACROSS NRN CA. THIS
SHOULD ENHANCE BREEZY CONDITIONS ALONG ELEVATED TERRAIN. EXPECT
TEMPERATURES TO RANGE BETWEEN THE LOW 70S ACROSS THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS TO THE LOW 90S ACROSS THE VALLEY FLOORS. MAXIMUM
SUSTAINED WINDS WILL BE BETWEEN 15-25 MPH AND RH VALUES ARE
EXPECTED TO RANGE BETWEEN 15-25 PERCENT.

DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWI98 KWNS
   VALID 071200-081200

...NO LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED...

   ...SYNOPSIS...

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN SHOULD WEAKEN BY THE
END OF THE PERIOD...WHILE AN UPPER-LVL LOW /CURRENTLY OVER BAJA CA/
REDEVELOPS OVER SRN AZ. THIS SUGGESTS THAT WEAKER OFFSHORE
GRADIENTS SHOULD REDUCE THE SANTA ANA THREAT. MEANWHILE...THE
UPPER-LVL RIDGE SHOULD REMAIN OVER THE WRN STATES BRINGING ABOVE
NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND DRY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA FOR AT LEAST
ANOTHER DAY. A WEAK COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO APPROACH THE ORE
COAST...INCREASING LOW-LVL MOISTURE AND DECREASING THE TEMPERATURES
   ACROSS THE PAC NW.
