DAY 1 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWE98 KWNS
   VALID 251200-261200

...NO LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
ANOTHER SHORTWAVE TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE SWRN STATES THROUGH THE
PERIOD. MUCH OF THE NRN/ERN HALF OF THE NATION WILL REMAIN UNDER
BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE PERIOD.

...SRN GREAT BASIN/WRN AZ AND SERN CA...
AFTERNOON SSWLY BREEZES FROM 15 TO 20 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG
WITH MINIMUM RH VALUES FROM 20 TO 30 PERCENT AS A SURFACE PRESSURE
TROUGH DEEPENS OVER THE LOWER CO RIVER VALLEY. ADDITIONALLY...
ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY DEVELOP
AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM WHERE STRONG FORCING WILL INTERACT WITH MID
LEVEL MOISTURE/INSTABILITY. CLOUD BASES AROUND 10 KFT ALONG WITH
MEAN SUB-CLOUD RH READINGS AROUND 30 PERCENT WILL FAVOR THE
POTENTIAL FOR A FEW DRY THUNDERSTORMS.

DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWI98 KWNS
   VALID 261200-271200

...NO LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
MID/UPPER SYSTEM WILL ONLY MOVE SLOWLY EWD ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST
THROUGH THE PERIOD. BUILDING LOW TO MID LEVEL RIDGING BEHIND THIS
SYSTEM WILL PROVIDE FOR WEAK OFFSHORE EVENT OVER NRN CA. AREAS OF
PRECIPITATION CAN BE EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF THE SRN PLAINS. BELOW
NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE OVER MUCH OF THE NRN HALF OF THE
   COUNTRY.

   ...SRN AZ...
AHEAD OF SLOW MOVING MID LEVEL TROUGH DEEP LOW LEVEL MIXING WILL
AID IN MINIMUM RH READINGS AROUND 20 PERCENT. SUSTAINED SWLY WINDS
FROM 15 TO 20 MPH WILL PROVIDE FOR NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS. HOWEVER...LOW TO MODERATE FIRE DANGER RATINGS SUGGEST
THAT OVERALL CRITICAL FIRE THREAT SHOULD BE MINIMAL.

   ...NRN CA...
A DEEP LAYER OF NELY GRADIENT WINDS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE AREA
DURING THE LATER HALF OF THE PERIOD...AS THE MID/UPPER LOW
PROGRESSES INTO AZ/SRN GREAT BASIN. DESPITE EXPECTED INCREASE IN
LOW LEVEL WINDS AND POOR RH RECOVERY OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN ABOVE
THE NOCTURNAL INVERSION...LOW TO MODERATE FIRE DANGERS WILL
PRECLUDE A CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT.
