   ...SYNOPSIS...
ONE MORE DAY OF HIGH WINDS WILL OCCUR OVER NM AND W TX AS UPPER JET
AND SURFACE LOW EXIT THE REGION. AN UPPER RIDGE WILL REMAIN OVER
THE SERN U.S...WHERE IT WILL BE HOT AND BREEZY. A STRONG AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE WILL DEEPEN FROM NRN MO INTO THE GREAT LAKES

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA # 1 - CENTRAL AND ERN NM...S CENTRAL
   CO...W TX...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WLY WINDS / VERY LOW RH

THE TAIL END OF A STRONG JET STREAM ALOFT WILL HANG BACK OVER NM
TODAY...AS MAIN UPPER TROUGH MOVES TO THE E. SURFACE PRESSURE
GRADIENTS ALONG WITH TRAILING UPPER JET WILL PRODUCE STRONG
WINDS...ESPECIALLY THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. SUSTAINED WLY WINDS OF
20-25 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH GUSTS OF 30-40 MPH LIKELY THROUGH
MIDDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER SERN NM INTO FAR W TX WHERE HIGHER WINDS
SPEEDS ALOFT WILL MIX DOWN. WIND SPEEDS WILL DECREASE RAPIDLY
DURING THE EVENING AS MIXING CEASES AND JET ALOFT DEPARTS. LATER

DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK...REF AWIPS GRAPHIC PMWI98 KWNS
   VALID 111200-121200

   ...NO AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
HOT AND BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT THAT
WILL EXTEND SWD OUT OF A STRONG SURFACE LOW...CENTERED OVER THE
GREAT LAKES AT 00Z. THE FRONT WILL BRING WETTING RAINS TO NEW
ENGLAND...THE OHIO VALLEY...AND APPALACHIANS. THE EXTREME SERN
U.S. WILL REMAIN MOSTLY DRY. FURTHER WEST...AN UPPER RIDGE WILL
BUILD OVER THE WRN U.S...ALLOWING FOR A CONTINUATION OF LOW RH AND
WARMING TEMPERATURES. WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE LIGHT.

   ...SERN U.S...
IT WILL BE VERY WARM ON SUNDAY AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT WHICH WILL BE
DRAPED FROM LAKE ONTARIO SWD THROUGH THE CENTRAL
CAROLINAS...GA...AND SRN AL. SWLY WINDS WILL INCREASE AHEAD OF THE
FRONT...WITH SPEEDS NEAR 20 MPH LIKELY BY AFTERNOON. RH LEVELS
COULD BE MARGINALLY LOW IN SPOTS...BUT WILL NOT GENERALLY DIP BELOW
CRITICAL LEVELS. HOT TEMPERATURES IN THE 90S WILL MAKE FOR DEEP
MIXING LAYERS. GIVEN THIS AND 20 MPH WINDS...ENHANCED THREAT IS
   SUGGESTED DESPITE MARGINAL RH.
