   0331 AM CDT FRI JUN 13 2003

   VALID 131200-141200

   ...NO AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
AN EMBEDDED SHORTWAVE TROUGH WILL MOVE QUICKLY FROM OR/ID NEWD INTO
MT...PROVIDING MOISTURE AND LIFT FOR SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS.
WARMING CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED OVER THE SWRN U.S. AS AN UPPER
RIDGE BUILDS. EAST OF THE ROCKIES...AMPLE MOISTURE AND THE THREAT
OF ADDITIONAL PRECIPITATION WILL EXIST UNDERNEATH A WEAK...BROAD
   UPPER TROUGH.

...NERN GREAT BASIN / EXTREME SRN ID...
FAST MOVING UPPER SHORTWAVE AND ASSOCIATED LIFT FOR THUNDERSTORMS
WILL EXTEND FROM NRN ID SWD INTO NERN NV AND NWRN UT AROUND 18Z.
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE LIKELY BY THIS TIME...BUT MOST WILL
NOT BE DRY. THREAT OF DRY THUNDER WILL INCREASE LATER IN THE DAY
WHEN TEMPERATURES RISE AND RH LEVELS DROP TO NEAR 20 PERCENT.
INVERTED V TYPE SOUNDINGS ALONG WITH PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES
AROUND 0.50 INCHES SUGGEST A FEW STORMS COULD BE DRY. TAIL END OF
UPPER SHORTWAVE WILL PROVIDE ENOUGH FORCING FOR AT LEAST ISOLATED
DRY THUNDERSTORMS FROM EXTREME NERN NV INTO NRN UT AND SRN ID.	WLY
FLOW WILL FAVOR WINDWARD SLOPES FOR DEVELOPMENT DURING THE
   AFTERNOON.
