   THE WEST AND A TROUGH IN THE NERN U.S. THE RIDGE WILL STRENGTHEN
   AND BY AFTERNOON A THERMAL RIDGE WILL EXTEND FROM THE AZ/CA
   BORDER...NWWD INTO NRN CA AND THEN NWD THROUGH CENTRAL OREGON AND
   WA.  VERY HOT TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR IN THIS ZONE WITH GENERALLY
   LIGHT WINDS.  ISOLATED AFTERNOON STORMS WILL OCCUR OVER NRN
   CA...POSSIBLY ACROSS CENTRAL NV AND UT.  ELSEWHERE...A COLD FRONT
   WILL MOVE SWD ACROSS ERN MT AND WY...BRINGING A WIND SHIFT BY MIDDAY
   TO NLY.
   
   ...OREGON / WA / WRN ID...
   INCREASED FIRE ACTIVITY WILL BE POSSIBLE AS THERMAL RIDGE
   STRENGTHENS OVER THE AREA.  HOT TEMPERATURES OF 100-105 F WILL BE
   COMMON OVER CENTRAL CA / WRN NV / OREGON / ERN WA AND WRN ID.  MIN
   RH LEVELS WILL BOTTOM OUT IN THE 15-20 PERCENT RANGE WITH GENERALLY
   LIGHT WINDS.  AN EXCEPTION WILL BE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ACROSS
   SRN WA AND NRN OREGON...WHERE WLY WINDS WILL LIKELY GUST TO 20-25
   MPH.  ISOLATED STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTH CENTRAL
   OREGON...PRODUCING LITTLE RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS.
   
   ...SERN MT AND WY...
   HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE SWD OUT OF CANADA AS UPPER LEVEL WINDS
   BECOME MORE NLY.  BY LATE MORNING...SUSTAINED NWLY WINDS AROUND 15
   MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH GUSTS OVER 20 MPH.  MIN RH LEVELS WILL
   BOTTOM OUT FROM 20-25 PERCENT AS TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE LOWER
   90S F. WEAKER WINDS...COOL TEMPERATURES AND GOOD RH RECOVERY CAN BE
   EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.

   RIDGE SITUATED OVER ERN WA AND OREGON...EXTENDING SWD THROUGH THE
   SIERRA.  TEMPERATURES WILL BE VERY HOT IN THESE AREAS...WITH LOCALLY
   GUSTY WINDS OVER WA...NRN ID AND NWRN MT DUE TO FASTER FLOW AROUND
   THE UPPER HIGH.
   
   ...WA / NRN ID / WRN MT...
   VERY HOT CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL OVER THE REGION IN AND NEAR SURFACE
   THERMAL TROUGH.  TEMPERATURES WILL RISE INTO THE LOWER 100S F IN THE
   LOWLANDS WITH MIN RH LEVELS OF 15-20 PERCENT.  LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS
   MAY BE A PROBLEM LATE AFTERNOON TUESDAY...AS 25-30 MPH WINDS TRY TO
   MIX DOWN TO THE SURFACE.  THE MOST LIKELY PLACES FOR THIS TO OCCUR
   WILL BE IN THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS AND IN DOWNSLOPE REGIONS.
