   RIDGE DEAMPLIFIES OVER THE WESTERN STATES AHEAD OF APPROACHING
   EASTERN PACIFIC UPPER TROUGH. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE FOUR
   CORNERS/GREAT BASIN WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN TODAY...ALLOWING OFFSHORE
   WIND REGIME ACROSS SRN CA TO SUBSIDE ACCORDINGLY.

   SANTA ANA WIND SCENARIO WILL PERSIST ACROSS SRN CA THIS MORNING
   BEFORE WINDS PROGRESSIVELY DIMINISH IN THE AFTERNOON/EVENING OWING
   TO WEAKENING OF GREAT BASIN/FOUR CORNERS HIGH PRESSURE AND
   CORRESPONDING PRESSURE GRADIENT. NE/E WINDS OF 20-30 MPH WITH
   LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS WILL EXIST FOR A TIME THIS MORNING /NAMELY IN
   AND ADJACENT TO CANYONS AND PASSES/...WITH RH VALUES AROUND/BELOW 10

   TROUGH IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC SLOWLY PROGRESSES TOWARD THE CA COAST.
   WEAK COLD FRONT OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS WILL TRANSITION TOWARD THE
   MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/SOUTHERN PLAINS...WHILE LEE TROUGH
   SHARPENS OVER THE CNTRL/SRN HIGH PLAINS. ELSEWHERE HIGH PRESSURE
   WILL PREVAIL OVER THE FOUR CORNERS AREA...IN ADDITION TO THE LOWER
   MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/SOUTHEAST STATES.
   
   ...ERN NM AND OK/TX PANHANDLES...
   MID LEVEL DOWNSLOPE WIND REGIME WILL INDUCE AN ADIABATIC WARMING/
   DRYING AIRMASS OVER THE FOOTHILLS/HIGH PLAINS OF ERN NM INTO THE
   OK/TX PANHANDLES ON SATURDAY. AS LEE TROUGH SHARPENS OVER THE HIGH
   PLAINS...W/SW WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 10-20 MPH BY AFTERNOON WITH
   HIGHER GUSTS. UNSEASONABLY WARM AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES /MID 60S TO
   LOWER 70S/ AND COINCIDENT RH VALUES OF 10-15 PERCENT WILL EXIST IN
   PRESENCE OF WELL MIXED ENVIRONMENT. HIGH CLOUDS AND SOME RECENT
   PRECIPITATION/LIGHT SNOW OVER PORTIONS OF THE REGION WILL TEND TO
   INHIBIT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS.
