   LIFT NEWD INTO NWRN MEXICO BY THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. ASSOCIATED
   CLOUD SHIELD WILL OVERSPREAD SRN AZ/NM AND FAR WEST TX RESULTING IN
   SLIGHTLY COOLER AND HIGHER SURFACE RH CONDITIONS COMPARED TO
   TUESDAY. AREAS OF LOW RH BETWEEN 15-25 PERCENT WILL PERSIST IN
   BASINS/VALLEYS NORTH OF THIS REGION...IN A BELT FROM INTERIOR SRN CA
   EWD ACROSS CENTRAL AZ/NM. HOWEVER...LIGHT WINDS ALOFT AND WEAK
   SEA-LEVEL PRESSURE GRADIENTS IN THIS REGION SHOULD KEEP SURFACE
   WINDS LIGHT PRECLUDING FIRE WEATHER PROBLEMS. 
   
   ACROSS THE REST OF THE CONUS...LARGE-SCALE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER
   CONDITIONS ARE NOT ANTICIPATED DURING THE FORECAST PERIOD.

   THURSDAY MORNING...UPPER TROUGH NEAR THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST AND
   ASSOCIATED SURFACE COLD FRONT MOVING OFFSHORE WILL BRING MUCH DRIER
   BOUNDARY LAYER CONDITIONS TO THE CAROLINAS...WHERE RH MINIMUMS WILL
   LIKELY RANGE FROM 25-35 PERCENT THURSDAY AFTERNOON. STEEP LOW-LEVEL
   LAPSE RATES AND MODERATE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL SUPPORT NWLY WINDS
   OF 15-25 MPH DURING MUCH OF THE DAYLIGHT HOURS. DESPITE THESE
   CONDITIONS...HIGH TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE 50S AND RAPID FALL OF
   TEMPERATURES INTO THE EVENING/OVERNIGHT PERIOD WILL PRECLUDE ANY
   SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER THREAT ACROSS THE CAROLINAS ON DAY 2.
   ELSEWHERE...AREAS OF SURFACE RH LESS THAN 30 PERCENT WILL BE
   LIMITED...CONFINED TO DESERT AREAS OF THE LOWER CO VALLEY AND THE
   CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS. GENERALLY LIGHT WINDS /AT OR BELOW 15 MPH/ IN
   THESE REGIONS WILL PRECLUDE SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
