   CONUS. SURFACE COLD FRONT WILL ADVANCE E/SE THROUGH THE OHIO
   VALLEY/NORTHEAST STATES. IN THE WEST...HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN
   OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST...KEEPING A STRONG OFFSHORE GRADIENT
   ACROSS SRN CA.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: SANTA ANA WINDS / LOW RH WITH POOR OVERNIGHT
   RECOVERY / WARM TEMPERATURES
   
   ONGOING SANTA ANA OFFSHORE/DOWNSLOPE WINDS WILL PEAK THIS MORNING...
   WITH NE WINDS 20-30 MPH AND LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS ADJACENT TO CANYONS
   AND MOUNTAIN PASSES. STRONGEST WINDS WILL LIKELY DIMINISH BY EARLY
   AFTERNOON...BUT AGAIN PEAK TONIGHT AS STRONG OFFSHORE GRADIENT
   REMAINS IN PLACE. OVERALL SCENARIO AIDED BY NEARLY UNIDIRECTIONAL NE
   LOW TO MID LEVEL FLOW AND SUBSIDENCE/WEAK COLD ADVECTION IN WAKE OF
   UPPER TROUGH OVER NRN BAJA.
   
   IN ADDITION TO GUSTY WINDS...SINKING AIRMASS OFF THE HIGHER TERRAIN
   WILL CONTINUE TO PROMOTE WARM/DRY CONDITIONS. ABOVE NORMAL
   TEMPERATURES WILL EXIST /65-75F/ THIS AFTERNOON. AFTERNOON RH VALUES
   WILL BE AS LOW AS 10-15 PERCENT WITH POOR RH RECOVERIES OVERNIGHT.

   DRY AIRMASS REMAINS ACROSS NRN FL. HOWEVER SEASONAL TEMPERATURES

   INTERMOUNTAIN WEST IS FORECAST TO WEAKEN CONSIDERABLY...WITH
   CORRESPONDING OFFSHORE GRADIENT ACROSS SRN CA WEAKENING AS WELL.

   MODERATE OFFSHORE/DOWNSLOPE WINDS -- NE 15-25 MPH WITH LOCALLY
   HIGHER GUSTS INVOF HIGHER TERRAIN -- WILL REMAIN ACROSS SRN CA
   FRIDAY MORNING. HOWEVER WINDS WILL SUBSIDE THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF
   THE PERIOD OWING TO WEAKENING HIGH PRESSURE/OFFSHORE PRESSURE
   GRADIENT. WARM/DRY AIRMASS WILL CONTINUE WITH 65-75F AFTERNOON
   TEMPERATURES AND RH VALUES AGAIN NEAR CRITICAL THRESHOLDS.
