   A LARGE UPPER TROUGH WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL U.S.
   TODAY...CAUSING WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION FROM THE PLAINS THIS
   MORNING EWD INTO THE APPALACHIANS BY FRIDAY MORNING.  HIGH PRESSURE
   WILL SURGE SWD BEHIND THIS TROUGH...UNDERNEATH WEAK UPPER RIDGING
   OVER THE WRN U.S.  OFFSHORE FLOW WILL DEVELOP OVER SRN CA WHERE IT
   WILL BE DRY AND SEASONABLY WARM.
   
   ...SRN CA AND THE LOWER CO RIVER VALLEY...
   GUSTY NLY WINDS OF 15-20 MPH WILL DEVELOP TODAY AS HIGH PRESSURE
   BUILDS IN FROM THE NORTH.  MIN RH VALUES WILL AVERAGE 15-20 PERCENT
   INLAND OVER SRN CA AND ALONG THE CA/AZ BORDER.
   
   OVERNIGHT...OFFSHORE FLOW WILL KEEP RH LEVELS RELATIVELY LOW...AND
   GUSTY NLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOL
   HOWEVER...IN THE 30S AND 40S...EXCEPT 50S IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN ON
   DOWNSLOPE SIDE OF COASTAL RANGE IN SRN CA. TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN
   THE 40S F ALONG THE CA/AZ BORDER AND RH RECOVERY WILL BE IN THE
   30-40 PERCENT RANGE.

   ROCKIES INTO THE PLAINS.  COOL WEATHER WILL PREVAIL...ALTHOUGH DRY
   OVER THE SWRN DESERTS. OFFSHORE FLOW WILL BE ONGOING AT THE
   BEGINNING OF THE PERIOD OVER SRN CA...BUT WILL DECREASE AS PRESSURE
   GRADIENTS RELAX AND UPPER FLOW WEAKENS.  THE ERN U.S. WILL BE VERY
   WET WITH SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION ALONG A COLD FRONT EXTENDING FROM
   ERN ONTARIO INTO FL.
