   TRANSITIONING EWD OVER THE NRN PLAINS TODAY. IN THE WAKE OF THIS
   FEATURE...A LOW AMPLITUDE WESTERLY UPPER FLOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE
   WRN STATES. SCATTERED SHOWERS/TSTMS WILL REMAIN COMMON OVER THE NRN
   PLAINS/UPPER MIDWEST AND ERN THIRD OF THE COUNTRY.
   
   ...AZ/SRN UT/SRN NV/WRN CO/NM...
   WITH PROGRESSIVELY ZONAL UPPER FLOW IN WAKE OF YESTERDAYS
   IMPULSE...LIGHTER LARGE SCALE WIND SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED FROM THE
   COLORADO RIVER VALLEY/SRN GREAT BASIN THROUGH THE SRN ROCKIES. BROAD
   SCALE W/SW WINDS ARE GENERALLY EXPECTED TO BE 15 MPH OR LESS OVER
   THE REGION...ALTHOUGH PERHAPS SOMEWHAT STRONGER ACROSS PORTIONS OF
   CO/NM. MINIMUM RH VALUES WILL GENERALLY BE AROUND 10 PERCENT...WITH
   5-8 PERCENT IN THE SRN GREAT BASIN/COLORADO RIVER VALLEY.
   
   IN SPITE OF THE LIGHTER WINDS TODAY...HOT/DRY AND WELL-MIXED AIRMASS
   WILL CONTRIBUTE TO PLUME DOMINATED FIRE GROWTH WITH ANY ONGOING
   FIRES. HAINES INDICES WILL BE IN THE MODERATE TO HIGH CATEGORY.
   ADDITIONALLY...ISOLD MAINLY DRY TSTMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
   PORTIONS OF SRN/ERN NM TODAY.
   
   ...ERN/SRN KS AND NW OK...
   BREEZY SW WINDS OF 15-25 MPH /WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS/ WILL DEVELOP
   BY MIDDAY ACROSS MUCH OF KS/NW OK AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT. HIGH
   TEMPERATURES WILL GENERALLY BE AROUND 100 F. AMPLE BOUNDARY LAYER
   MOISTURE WILL KEEP AFTERNOON MINIMUM RH VALUES SUFFICIENTLY ABOVE

   SIMILAR CONDITIONS FROM WEDNESDAY WILL PERSIST INTO THE DAY 2
   PERIOD. OWING TO PROXIMITY OF UPPER RIDGE...BROAD SCALE WINDS WILL
   REMAIN MODEST /GENERALLY 15 MPH OR LESS/ ACROSS THE SRN ROCKIES AND
   LOWER COLORADO RIVER VALLEY REGION...WITH LOCALIZED/TERRAIN-DRIVEN
   WIND REGIMES DOMINANT ON THURSDAY. AIRMASS WILL REMAIN HOT/DRY AND
   DEEPLY MIXED...WITH MINIMUM RH VALUES OF 8-10 PERCENT/HIGH HAINES
   INDICES AND PLUME DOMINATED FIRES.
