   GREAT BASIN...AS WESTERN RIDGE OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST/NORTHERN
   ROCKIES AMPLIFIES SLIGHTLY. UPPER TROUGH SHIFTS EASTWARD INTO THE
   GREAT LAKES REGION/MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TODAY...WITH SCATTERED
   SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ALONG/AHEAD OF SURFACE FRONTAL
   BOUNDARY EXTENDING FROM NEW ENGLAND TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI
   VALLEY/SOUTHERN PLAINS...AND THEN NORTHWESTWARD TOWARD THE
   CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND HIGH PLAINS.
   
   ...INTERIOR SOUTHWEST...
   ALTHOUGH LARGE SCALE FLOW IS GENERALLY BELOW 15 MPH...HOT AND DRY
   AIRMASS OVER THE SOUTHWEST AGAIN RESULTS IN ABOVE NORMAL
   TEMPERATURES AND WIDESPREAD AFTERNOON RH BETWEEN 5 AND 10 PERCENT.
   AFOREMENTIONED LIGHT FLOW PRECLUDES LARGE SCALE FIRE WEATHER
   THREAT...BUT THERMALLY DRIVEN WINDS MAY BRIEFLY EXCEED 15 MPH IN
   TERRAIN FAVORED LOCALES. ADDITIONALLY...AN ISOLATED DRY THUNDERSTORM
   IS POSSIBLE ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE OF NEW MEXICO/COLORADO

   IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF UPPER TROUGH CENTERED OVER THE EASTERN
   GREAT LAKES REGION...WHILE A TROPICAL SYSTEM BRINGS WET CONDITIONS
   TO MUCH OF THE SOUTHEAST. WEAK UPPER LOW MOVES FROM THE SOUTHERN
   GREAT BASIN TOWARD NORTHERN ARIZONA.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: HOT...DRY...AND BREEZY
   
   WEAK UPPER LOW REACHING NORTHWEST ARIZONA WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON MAY
   BRING A MINOR INCREASE IN LOW/MID LEVEL MOISTURE...ALTHOUGH
   WIDESPREAD MINIMUM RH BETWEEN 8 TO 12 PERCENT IS STILL EXPECTED.
   SOUTHWEST SURFACE WINDS INCREASE TO AROUND 15 TO 25 MPH ...WITH
   HIGHER GUSTS /PARTICULARLY OVER ELEVATED TERRAIN/ OWING TO THE
   DEEP/WELL MIXED DAYTIME BOUNDARY LAYER. GIVEN THE EXTREMELY DRY
   ANTECEDENT CONDITIONS AND ONGOING FIRES...CONDITIONS WARRANT
   CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FROM LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH THE
