   0350 AM CDT TUE AUG 30 2005

   VALID 301200Z - 311200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
UPPER TROUGH WHICH HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WINDY CONDITIONS FOR
MUCH OF THE WEST THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS WILL FINALLY MOVE INTO THE
NRN PLAINS BY WED. STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS MUCH OF MT/WY
TODAY THOUGH IN THE WAKE OF A COLD FRONT WHICH WILL EXTEND FROM THE
CNTRL DAKOTAS/WRN NEB/SRN UT BY THIS AFTN. MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES
WILL TEND TO KEEP RH VALUES ABOVE 20 PERCENT...SO A CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER AREA WILL NOT BE INCLUDED. HOWEVER...THE STRONG WINDS ACROSS
THE NRN HIGH PLAINS WILL INCREASE THE THREAT FOR ANY WIND DRIVEN
FIRES. OFFSHORE FLOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS NRN PORTIONS OF
CA...INCREASING FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS FOR TODAY.

...CNTRL AND ERN MT/WY/WRN SD/NEB PANHANDLE...
SUSTAINED SFC WINDS OF 20-30 MPH WILL DEVELOP IN WAKE OF SFC COLD
FRONT LOCATED ACROSS CNTRL MT EARLY THIS MORNING. MAX TEMPS WILL
RANGE FROM THE 60S/70S IN MT AND PORTIONS OF WY...TO UPPER 80S/LOWER
90S IN CNTRL SD/NEB PANHANDLE. BUT RH VALUES WILL BE ABOVE 20
PERCENT...WHICH SHOULD LESSEN THE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT.

   ...NRN CA...
SFC HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD ACROSS ORE TODAY...ENHANCING THE
PRESSURE GRADIENT BETWEEN CA AND ORE. OFFSHORE FLOW WILL BE
MODERATELY STRONG...WITH SFC WINDS INCREASING INTO THE 15-25 MPH
RANGE AND MAX TEMPS IN THE 90S.
