   UPPER LOW WILL MOVE SLOWLY EWD TODAY ACROSS THE SRN ROCKIES INTO THE
   SRN HIGH PLAINS. NLY FLOW ON BACK SIDE OF TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO
   SEND DRY AIR SWD FROM THE GREAT BASIN INTO THE SWRN DESERTS WITH
   SANTA ANA WINDS ONGOING THIS MORNING AND CONTINUING THROUGH THE DAY.
    FARTHER N...IT WILL REMAIN VERY DRY INTO NRN CA WITHIN THERMAL
   RIDGE. OVERALL WIND TREND WILL BE DOWNWARD HOWEVER...AS SURFACE HIGH
   GRADUALLY MOVES EWD...RELAXING PRESSURE GRADIENTS BY LATE TODAY
   ACROSS THE REGION.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: MODERATE SANTA ANA WINDS AND LOW RH
   
   STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT FROM THE DESERTS THROUGH THE COASTAL RANGE
   WILL CAUSE STRONG DOWNSLOPE WINDS TO OCCUR...ESPECIALLY THIS MORNING
   THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON. RH WILL LOWER RAPIDLY THROUGH THE DAY AND
   DROP INTO THE TEENS WITH SUSTAINED NELY WINDS OF 20-30 MPH...GUSTING
   IN EXCESS OF 40-50 MPH THROUGH FAVORABLE PASSES AND CANYONS. WIND
   SPEEDS WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING...AS
   PRESSURE GRADIENTS RELAX. SANTA ANA WINDS WILL NOT CONTINUE
   OVERNIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING DUE TO WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT.
   
   ...CENTRAL AND NRN CA INTERIOR VALLEYS...
   GUSTY WINDS WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS BUT WILL
   GRADUALLY DECREASE TO 10 MPH OR LESS BY MID AFTERNOON. IT WILL BE
   WARM AND DRY WITH MIN RH VALUES OF 20-30 PERCENT IN GENERAL...BUT
   MAY DIP INTO THE 15-20 PERCENT RANGE IN THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY.
   OVERNIGHT...MAINLY LIGHT DRAINAGE WINDS ARE ANTICIPATED.
