   ASHORE THE WA/ORE/NRN CA COAST TONIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL
   TRANSITION EWD FROM THE ROCKIES INTO THE PLAINS. DRY CONDITIONS WILL
   EXIST ACROSS THE BULK OF THE COUNTRY...ALTHOUGH DRENCHING RAINS WILL
   PERSIST ACROSS MUCH OF THE NORTHEAST STATES.

   LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS WILL CONTINUE IN VICINITY OF CANYONS/PASSES THIS
   MORNING IN PRESENCE OF MODEST OFFSHORE TRAJECTORIES. ALTHOUGH
   OFFSHORE GRADIENT WILL WEAKEN DURING THE DAY...WARM/DRY CONDITIONS
   WILL NEVERTHELESS PERSIST ACROSS SRN CA. AFTER POOR RH RECOVERIES
   INTO THIS MORNING...RATHER LOW RH VALUES /8-12 PERCENT/ WILL EXIST
   INLAND THIS AFTERNOON FOR SEVERAL HOURS DURATION. GRADIENT WILL
   TREND ONSHORE TONIGHT OWING TO APPROACH OF UPPER TROUGH.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WINDS AND COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE
   
   STRONG/GUSTY SW WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE SRN GREAT BASIN
   ALONG/AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT QUICKLY MOVING THROUGH THE GREAT BASIN.
   SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25-35 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF THE SRN
   GREAT BASIN...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. GIVEN INCREASING MID LEVEL
   MOISTURE/CLOUD COVER AHEAD OF THE UPPER TROUGH...AFTERNOON RH VALUES
   MAY BE MARGINAL...AROUND/JUST ABOVE 15 PERCENT. IN SPITE OF THE
   MARGINAL RH VALUES...THE MAGNITUDE OF EXPECTED WIND SPEEDS APPEARS
   TO WARRANT A CRITICAL OUTLOOK AT THIS JUNCTURE.
