   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
POTENT SHORTWAVE TROUGH IS LOCATED ACROSS THE MID MS VALLEY EARLY
THIS MORNING...AND WILL QUICKLY LIFT NEWD TOWARD ERN ONTARIO/QUEBEC
BY TONIGHT. STRONG/SVR TSTMS ARE ONGOING THIS MORNING ALONG A SQUALL
LINE EXTENDING FROM LOWER MI TO TN. SQUALL LINE IS EXPECTED TO BE
MAINTAINED ACROSS MAINLY THE NORTHEAST AS SFC COLD FRONT MOVES INTO
NY/PA/MD BY EARLY EVENING. MEANWHILE...UPPER TROUGH OFF THE PACIFIC
NORTHWEST COAST WILL AMPLIFY IN RESPONSE TO UPSTREAM JET STREAK.

FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS EXPECTED TO BE MINIMAL TODAY DUE TO RELATIVELY
LIGHT WINDS ACROSS MUCH OF THE SRN STATES UNDERNEATH SFC RIDGE.
ALTHOUGH SFC WINDS ACROSS THE CNTRL PLAINS WILL INCREASE IN RESPONSE
TO LEE TROUGH AND DEVELOPING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM...RH VALUES WILL BE
   ABOVE 20 PERCENT.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR NE NM/TX PANHANDLE/OK/SRN KS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
STRONG UPPER TROUGH WILL BEGIN TO AFFECT THE WRN CONUS ON
MONDAY...WITH SWLY FLOW ALOFT INCREASING TO AROUND 70 KT FROM SRN CA
INTO THE CNTRL RCKYS. SFC BAROCLINIC ZONE WILL RETURN NWD ACROSS
OK/KS AS A WARM FRONT WITH A LEE TROUGH DEVELOPING IN THE TX
PANHANDLE/ERN NM PLAINS. INCREASING SFC WINDS ACROSS THE PLAINS WILL
CONTRIBUTE TO CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ON MON AFTN.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA 1 - NE NM/TX PANHANDLE/OK/SRN KS...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: SUSTAINED WINDS 15-25 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS/DRY
FUELS/WARMER THAN NORMAL TEMPS/MARGINALLY LOW RH VALUES

MAIN LIMITING FACTOR FOR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE RH
VALUES WHICH WILL MAINLY BE ABOVE 20-30 PERCENT. HOWEVER...HIGH
TEMPS IN THE UPPER 70S/LOWER 80S ARE AT LEAST 10-15 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. THESE WARMER TEMPS COMBINED WITH DRY
FUELS ACROSS THE AREA AND ONGOING LARGE FIRES ACROSS OK WILL WARRANT
A CRITICAL AREA. RECENT FIRE DANGER CLASS VALUES ARE IN THE
HIGH/VERY HIGH RANGE ALONG WITH KBDI VALUES IN EXCESS OF
500-600...ESPECIALLY ACROSS PORTIONS OF SRN OK. THE THREAT FOR WIND
DRIVEN FIRES WILL BE INCREASED EVEN WITH MARGINALLY FAVORABLE RH
   VALUES.
