   SOUTHERN CA. A WEAK SURFACE LOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
   HIGH PLAINS IN RESPONSE TO SHORTWAVE TROUGH CROSSING THE SOUTHERN
   ROCKIES. ELSEWHERE...HIGH PRESSURE WILL TRANSITION EASTWARD ACROSS
   THE GULF COAST STATES...BRINGING A DRIER AIRMASS TO THE REGION.

   PERSISTENT SANTA ANA EVENT WILL YIELD ANOTHER DRY/NEAR RECORD WARM
   DAY FOR SOUTHERN CA. LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS WILL BE ONGOING THIS
   MORNING /20-40 MPH/...WITH A DIMINISHING TREND ANTICIPATED THE
   REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD AS THE OFFSHORE GRADIENT GRADUALLY WEAKENS.
   EVEN WITH THE DIMINISHING WIND TREND...TEMPERATURES WILL AGAIN REACH
   THE UPPER 70S/80S IN THE COASTAL VALLEYS...WITH CRITICAL RH VALUES
   DROPPING INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS FOR SEVERAL HOURS DURATION THIS
   AFTERNOON.

   SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS TODAY. GUSTY SW WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
   PORTIONS OF FAR EASTERN NM INTO NORTHWEST TX...WITH SPEEDS OF 15-25
   MPH COMMON THIS AFTERNOON. RELATIVELY WELL MIXED AIRMASS WILL
   PROMOTE TEMPERATURES CLIMBING WELL INTO THE 60S. MINIMUM RH VALUES
   WILL BE BETWEEN 8-15 PERCENT.
   
   ...FL AND ADJACENT PORTIONS OF GA/AL/SC...
   IN WAKE OF COLD FRONT...WESTERLY WINDS/CONTINENTAL TRAJECTORIES WILL
   LEAD TO A DRIER AIRMASS AND NEAR-CRITICAL RH VALUES THIS AFTERNOON
   FOR INTERIOR AREAS. POST-FRONTAL GRADIENT WILL SUPPORT MODERATE WEST
   TO NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 10-20 MPH...HIGHEST ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND
   SOUTHERN FL PENINSULA. IN ADDITION TO RELATIVELY COOL
   TEMPERATURES...RECENT PRECIPITATION WILL ALSO TEND TO BE A NEGATING
   FACTOR FOR CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS.

   FRONT DEVELOPING SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE CENTRAL/SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS.
   HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE FL PENINSULA AND SOUTHEAST
   STATES. IN THE WEST...LOW PRESSURE/COLD FRONT WILL TAKE SHAPE ACROSS
   THE GREAT BASIN AND ADJACENT ROCKIES.

   HIGH PRESSURE/DRY AIRMASS WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE THE SOUTHEAST
   STATES/FL PENINSULA ON TUESDAY. RH VALUES WILL BE FURTHER REDUCED
   FROM MONDAY...WITH SEVERAL HOURS OF CRITICAL RH TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
   ALTHOUGH RH VALUES WILL BE MORE CRITICAL...WIND SPEEDS WILL BE
   SOMEWHAT LIGHTER /10 MPH OR LESS/ GIVEN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE

   WITH DEVELOPING/SECONDARY SURFACE LOW ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HIGH
   PLAINS...BREEZY SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL EXIST TUESDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS
   MUCH OF EASTERN NM INTO WEST TX. SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15-25 MPH APPEAR
   LIKELY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS EASTERN NM. TEMPERATURES WILL GENERALLY
   REACH AT LEAST THE LOWER 70S...WITH LOW AFTERNOON RH VALUES AROUND
