   VALID 251200Z - 261200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
EARLY THIS MORNING A COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM NERN PORTIONS OF
OKLAHOMA THROUGH NW TX AND NE NM. THIS FRONT WILL CONTINUE SOUTH AND
EAST...INTO ARKANSAS AND SCNTRL TX BY THIS EVENING. A MID LEVEL
RIDGE WILL BUILD ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN TODAY...AHEAD OF AN
AMPLIFYING STORM SYSTEM WHICH IS NOW AROUND 350 NM WSW OF SFO. SFC
WINDS ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST WILL BE LIGHT COMPARED TO RECENT DAYS DUE
TO THE RELATIVELY WEAK WINDS ALOFT ASSOCIATED WITH THE RIDGE.

   ...SRN PLAINS...
TEMPERATURES TODAY ACROSS MUCH OF THE PLAINS WILL BE COOLER THAN
NORMAL IN MANY LOCATIONS WITH VALUES ABOUT 15-30 DEGREES LOWER THAN
ON MONDAY. THE COOLER TEMPERATURES AND HIGHER RH VALUES WILL
PROVIDE SOME RELIEF FROM THE WARM/WINDY CONDITIONS. POST FRONTAL
WINDS WILL REMAIN VERY STRONG...GENERALLY 15-25 MPH.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR SRN AND CNTRL AZ/WRN NM...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
BY EARLY WED MORNING...UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO BE
JUST WEST OF SANTA BARBARA CA. MID/UPPER LEVEL WINDS WILL INCREASE
ACROSS AZ DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY INTO THE 35-45 KT RANGE...AND
BECOME MORE SLY AS THE UPPER LOW APPROACHES. WARMER TEMPS/LOW RH
VALUES COMBINED WITH THE INCREASING WINDS COULD CONTRIBUTE TO
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHWEST ON
   WEDNESDAY.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA 1 - SRN AND CNTRL AZ/WRN NM...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WINDS 15-25 MPH/RH VALUES BELOW 15
   PERCENT/DRY FUELS

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE MOST LIKELY ACROSS PORTIONS OF
SRN/CNTRL AZ WHERE LATEST KBDI VALUES ARE ABOVE 500 AND 100/1000 HR
FUEL MOISTURE OBSERVATIONS ARE LESS THAN 10 PERCENT. HIGH TEMPS
ACROSS THIS REGION WILL RANGE FROM MID 80S/LOWER 90S WITH LOW RH
VALUES LESS THAN 15 PERCENT. SLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20-30 MPH IN
THE AFTN...AND THE WARM/DRY/WINDY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST INTO
THURSDAY. THIS WILL RESULT IN ANOTHER EXTENDED PERIOD OF HEIGHTENED
   FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS.
