...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR SERN WA/CNTRL AND ERN ORE/NERN
   CA/NW NV/WRN ID...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
THE UPPER RIDGE ACROSS THE WEST WILL BEGIN TO BREAKDOWN TODAY...AS A
STRONG UPPER TROUGH OVER THE GULF OF ALASKA APPROACHES THE PACIFIC
NORTHWEST. AHEAD OF THIS UPPER TROUGH... A SFC THERMAL TROUGH WILL
MOVE EWD AND EXTEND FROM ERN ORE SWD INTO NRN NV. ASSOCIATED WITH
THIS TROUGH VERY WARM TEMPERATURES AND LOW RH READINGS WILL BE
PREVALENT OVER MUCH OF THE INTERIOR PAC NW AND GREAT BASIN.
ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE NATION...SFC HIGH PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP SWD
THROUGH THE PLAINS IN THE WAKE OF AN UPPER TROUGH. SCT PRECIPITATION
WILL AGAIN DEVELOP OVER MUCH OF TX TO THE SOUTH OF A COLD FRONT.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - ERN WA/ORE SWD INTO NRN NV...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: RH READINGS FROM 5-10 PERCENT COMBINED WITH HIGH
   HAINES INDEX

HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE 90S TO NEAR 105 OR ABOUT
15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. COMBINED WITH DEWPTS IN THE TEENS/20S
MINIMUM RH VALUES FROM 5-10 PERCENT WILL BE COMMONPLACE. THE
STRONGEST MID LEVEL WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE APPROACHING UPPER
TROUGH WILL STAY WEST OF THE OUTLOOK AREA ON MONDAY. HOWEVER...GUSTY
WLY WINDS ARE LIKELY IN THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE AS THE MARINE LAYER
DEEPENS WEST OF THE CASCADE MTNS. DESPITE SUSTAINED SWLY WINDS FROM
10-20 MPH ACROSS THE AREA...THE MAIN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT
HOWEVER WILL BE THE PRESENCE OF A HIGH HAINES INDEX DUE TO THE
PRESENCE OF A VERY DRY/UNSTABLE LOWER ATMOSPHERE SUPPORTING PLUME
DOMINATED FIRE GROWTH IN ANY NUMBER OF THE ONGOING LARGE FIRES IN
   THE AREA.
