   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0400 AM CST THU NOV 02 2006

   VALID 031200Z - 041200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
UPPER TROUGH WILL PIVOT EASTWARD OVER THE NORTHEAST STATES ON
FRIDAY...WITH A LOW AMPLITUDE WESTERLY UPPER FLOW PREVALENT OVER THE
REMAINDER OF THE CONUS. EXPANSIVE HIGH PRESSURE FROM THE PLAINS TO
THE SOUTHEAST/MID ATLANTIC STATES WILL REINFORCE A RATHER DRY
   AIRMASS ACROSS THIS BROAD REGION.

   ...SOUTHEAST STATES/NORTHERN FL...
WITH DOMINANCE OF POST-FRONTAL HIGH PRESSURE...A VERY DRY AIRMASS
WILL ENCOMPASS MUCH OF THE SOUTHEAST STATES INTO NORTHERN FL ON
FRIDAY. AFTERNOON RH VALUES IN THE 20-30 PERCENT RANGE FOR A FEW
HOURS DURATION SHOULD BE COMMON. THE RELATIVELY STRONGER WINDS
FRIDAY AFTERNOON WILL LIKELY RESIDE ACROSS THE FAR SOUTHERN PORTIONS
OF AL/GA AND NORTHERN FL...WHERE NORTHEAST WINDS APPEAR LIKELY TO
REACH 10-15 MPH. PORTIONS OF THIS REGION MAY BE UPGRADED TO CRITICAL
IN THE SUBSEQUENT DAY 1 OUTLOOK PENDING EXPECTED RH VALUES/WIND
   SPEEDS.

   ...OK/KS...
AS HIGH PRESSURE TRANSITIONS EASTWARD ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST
STATES/TENNESSEE VALLEY...AN INCREASING SOUTHERLY GRADIENT IS
EXPECTED ACROSS THE SOUTH CENTRAL PLAINS ON FRIDAY. WHILE A DRY
AIRMASS REMAINS IN PLACE ACROSS THE REGION...SOUTH/SOUTHEAST WINDS
MAY REACH 15-20 MPH DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.
OTHERWISE...TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN RELATIVELY COOL...WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES GENERALLY RANGING FROM THE MIDDLE 50S TO LOWER 60S.
