ROCKIES/GREAT BASIN AS WELL AS ACROSS THE SRN PLAINS/LOWER MS VALLEY
WITH DRY CONDITIONS WIDESPREAD. SANTA ANA WINDS WILL PERSIST OVER
SRN CA...WHILE FIRE THREAT INCREASES OVER THE SERN STATES DUE TO
VERY LOW RH AND GUSTY WINDS.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - SRN CA...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW AND EXTREMELY LOW RH VALUES

STRONG SUSTAINED ELY WINDS OF 20-40 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL BE
ONGOING THIS MORNING AND WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE DAY. ALREADY LOW
RH WILL DROP TO EXTREME LEVELS...AS LOW AS 4-5 PERCENT THIS
AFTERNOON. THUS...THREAT OF ADDITIONAL FIRE STARTS WILL BE VERY
HIGH. CRITICAL CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST OVERNIGHT DUE TO CONTINUED
GUSTY WINDS AND LITTLE IF ANY RH RECOVERY.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - SERN AL...FL PANHANDLE...SRN GA...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: VERY LOW RH...GUSTY N WINDS AND DROUGHT

A STRONG AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL SURGE SEWD ACROSS THE LOWER MS
VALLEY AND INTO THE GULF COAST STATES. THIS WILL BRING COOLING
TEMPERATURES AND GUSTY WINDS...BUT ALSO A VERY DRY AIR MASS.
SCATTERED MORNING MID LEVEL CLOUDS WILL GIVE WAY TO FULL SUNSHINE
AND BY AFTERNOON...MIN RH VALUES WILL DROP INTO THE 15-20 PERCENT
RANGE ACROSS SRN AL AND THE FL PANHANDLE...AND CLOSER TO 25 PERCENT
SERN GA INTO NRN FL. IN ADDITION TO THE DRY AIR...NLY WINDS WILL
AVERAGE NEAR 15 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. GIVEN POCKETS OF MODERATELY
HIGH KBDI VALUES INTERSPERSED THROUGHOUT THE REGION...LOCALLY
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP THIS
AFTERNOON...ALTHOUGH RELATIVELY COOL TEMPERATURES IN THE 50S AND
SHALLOW MIXING LAYERS WILL HELP MODERATE THE THREAT.

   ...OTHER AREAS OF INTEREST...

   ...SRN MS INTO LA...
IT WILL BE EXTREMELY DRY WITH RH DROPPING BELOW 20 PERCENT IN AREAS.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE QUITE COOL...MAINLY IN THE 40S EXCEPT 50S NEAR
THE COAST. N WINDS OF 10-15 MPH ALONG WITH THE LOW RH WILL INCREASE
   FIRE DANGER TODAY.

   ...SERN AZ...
E-W PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL REMAIN IN PLACE TODAY WITH HIGH PRESSURE
CENTERED OVER THE GREAT BASIN AND SRN PLAINS. THIS WILL KEEP
CONDITIONS OVER AZ VERY DRY WITH MIN RH DROPPING INTO THE SINGLE
DIGITS. IT WILL ALSO KEEP AFTERNOON WINDS GUSTY...BUT ONLY SUSTAINED
TO AROUND 15 MPH. GIVEN VERY LOW RH AND DROUGHT...FIRE DANGER WILL
REMAIN QUITE HIGH ALTHOUGH TEMPERATURES WILL NOT BE VERY WARM.

   ...LOWER CO RIVER VALLEY...
VERY LOW RH WILL PERSIST HERE AS WELL...ALONG WITH GUSTY NLY WINDS
THIS AFTERNOON. SPEEDS OF 10-20 MPH WILL BE LIKELY WITH TEMPERATURES
