   0423 AM CST MON DEC 11 2006

   VALID 111200Z - 121200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
AN UPPER TROUGH OVER THE SRN ROCKIES WILL MOVE INTO THE SRN PLAINS
THROUGH THE PERIOD. IN ASSOCIATION WITH THIS TROUGH...GUSTY WSWLY
WINDS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE SRN PLAINS TO THE WEST OF A LEE
TROUGH/DRYLINE. LOW RH READINGS AND MILD TEMPERATURES ALONG WITH
THESE WINDS WILL SUPPORT NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS
AFTERNOON FOR PORTIONS OF OK/WRN TX AND SERN NM. MEANWHILE...SFC
HIGH PRESSURE LOCATED OFF THE SERN COAST WILL SUPPORT ANOTHER DAY OF
LOW RH READINGS OVER THE SERN STATES. FURTHER WEST...SFC HIGH
PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE GREAT BASIN AND ROCKIES IN THE WAKE OF
THE SRN ROCKIES UPPER TROUGH. GENERALLY WEAK...10-20
MPH...NELY/OFFSHORE WINDS WILL RESULT OVER PORTIONS OF SRN CA.

   ...SRN PLAINS...
AHEAD OF A SHORTWAVE OVER THE SRN ROCKIES...AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE
WILL MOVE OUT OF THE HIGH PLAINS INTO CENTRAL KS THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON. AN ASSOCIATED SFC DRYLINE WILL EXTEND FROM CENTRAL OK
INTO CENTRAL TX. TO THE WEST OF THE DRYLINE...STEEP MID LEVEL LAPSE
RATES /IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE MID LEVEL TROUGH/ ALONG WITH WARM
TEMPERATURES AND STEEP LOW LEVEL LAPSE RATES WILL FAVOR MOMENTUM
TRANSFER OF MODERATE WINDS ALOFT. SUSTAINED WSWLY WINDS FROM 20-25
MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 40 MPH WILL RESULT. ALTHOUGH TEMPERATURES WILL
RANGE FROM 10-15 DEG ABOVE AVG...DWPTS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE
EXCEEDINGLY LOW /20S AND 30S/. THUS MIN RH READINGS WILL NOT REACH
   CRITICAL LEVELS /20-30 PERCENT/.

   ...SRN CA...
OFFSHORE WINDS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE AREA THROUGH TONIGHT...AS A
1030 MB HIGH PRESSURE CENTER MOVES INTO THE GREAT BASIN. RELATIVELY
WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT /LESS THAN 5 MB/ WILL EXIST AND LIMIT THE
SUSTAINED WINDS SPEEDS TO LESS THAN 20 MPH THROUGH THE PERIOD. MIN
RH READINGS WILL RANGE FROM 25-35 PERCENT IN THE AFTERNOON.

   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0444 AM CST MON DEC 11 2006

   VALID 121200Z - 131200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
IN THE WAKE OF AN UPPER TROUGH THAT MOVES INTO THE MS VALLEY
TOMORROW...SFC HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE MUCH OF THE WEST AND SRN
PLAINS. WNWLY MID LEVEL FLOW AROUND A FLAT UPPER RIDGE OVER THE EAST
PACIFIC WILL SUPPORT MILD AND DRY CONDITIONS FROM CA EWD INTO THE
SRN/CENTRAL PLAINS. ALTHOUGH LOW RH READINGS FROM 15-25 PERCENT WILL
BE COMMONPLACE FROM THE DESERT SW INTO THE SRN PLAINS...SUSTAINED
WINDS WILL AVERAGE LESS THAN 10 MPH ACROSS THE REGION. THE ONLY
EXCEPTION THIS WILL BE OVER SRN CA...WHERE NELY WINDS UP TO 25 MPH
   WILL BE POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT.

MEANWHILE...SFC HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE ERN SEABOARD WILL MOVE AWAY
FROM THE REGION IN ADVANCE OF THE MS VALLEY UPPER SYSTEM. AS THIS
OCCURS...HIGHER RH READINGS WILL SPREAD NWD THROUGH THE CAROLINAS
AND MID-ATLANTIC. IN ADDITION...SCT/MDT LIGHT PRECIPITATION WILL
FALL OVER MUCH OF THE SERN STATES ASSOCIATED WITH THE APPROACHING
   UPPER SYSTEM.

   ...SRN CA...
A SECONDARY RELATIVELY INNOCUOUS SYSTEM WILL MOVE AROUND THE UPPER
RIDGE AND THROUGH THE GREAT BASIN TOMORROW. IN THE WAKE OF THIS
SYSTEM...THE OFFSHORE GRADIENT WILL INCREASE SOME TOMORROW
AFTERNOON/NIGHT. SUSTAINED NNELY WINDS FROM 15-25 MPH WILL BE
POSSIBLE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS TOMORROW NIGHT AS LOW LEVEL FLOW
BECOMES UNIDIRECTIONAL THROUGH 700 MB IN THE WAKE OF THIS UPPER
SYSTEM. HOWEVER...MIN RH READINGS DURING THE DAY/OVERNIGHT SHOULD
REMAIN ABOVE 20 PERCENT PRECLUDING A CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT.
