   APPROACHING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST THIS MORNING WILL BE ASSOCIATED
   WITH A 90-100 KT MID LEVEL JET MAX WHICH WILL EXTEND INTO WRN MT BY
   14/00Z. STRONG LARGE SCALE HEIGHT FALLS WILL FAVOR DEEPENING SFC LOW
   PRESSURE SYSTEM AND INCREASING GRADIENT WINDS ACROSS MT/ID/WY. 
   
   ELSEWHERE...SFC PATTERN WILL FEATURE MODERATELY STRONG HIGH PRESSURE
   IN THE GREAT BASIN TODAY...WHICH WILL SUPPORT OFFSHORE FLOW THROUGH
   SRN CA PASSES AND CANYONS. RELATIVE HUMIDITY SHOULD REMAIN ABOVE
   CRITICAL VALUES...LIMITING FIRE WEATHER RISKS ACROSS SRN CA.

   MUCH OF THE CONUS WILL REMAIN UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF LARGELY ZONAL
   FLOW THROUGH THURSDAY. UPPER LEVEL RIDGING WILL DEVELOP OVER THE
   NRN/CNTRL PLAINS ON THU AHEAD OF AMPLIFYING WEST COAST STORM SYSTEM.
   THIS WILL RESULT IN MUCH ABOVE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES / BY 15-20
   DEGREES/ FROM THE UPPER MIDWEST THROUGH MO VALLEY AND SRN PLAINS.
   OFFSHORE WINDS MAY BE ONGOING EARLY THU MORNING ACROSS SRN CA...BUT
   FLOW WILL BECOME ONSHORE BY EARLY EVENING IN RESPONSE TO APPROACHING
   WEST COAST TROUGH. ALTHOUGH LEE TROUGH WILL DEVELOP IN THE SRN HIGH
   PLAINS...MODERATE SFC WINDS WILL OFFSET THE EFFECTS OF WARM/DRY
   CONDITIONS.
