   WEAKENING HIGH PRESSURE IN PLACE. THE MAIN FEATURE OF INTEREST WILL
   BE AN UPPER SHORTWAVE TROUGH AMPLIFYING ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN/FOUR
   CORNERS STATES. THIS SYSTEM WILL DRIVE A PACIFIC HIGH SWD INTO THE
   GREAT BASIN AND WILL CAUSE AN INCREASE IN OFFSHORE WINDS OVER SRN
   CA.

   WINDS ACROSS THE REGION WILL INCREASE OUT OF THE N AS A DEVELOPING
   UPPER TROUGH/SHORTWAVE AMPLIFIES E OF THE AREA...AND WINDS ALOFT
   ALIGN OUT OF THE N. HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL NOT BE VERY LOW
   INITIALLY...BUT WILL DROP INTO THE DAY 2 PERIOD. SUSTAINED WINDS OF
   20-30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL BE COMMON THROUGH PASSES AND
   CANYONS BY SAT MORNING.

   STRONG WINDS WILL BE ONGOING SAT MORNING WITH GUSTS OVER 30 MPH. RH
   WILL LOWER THROUGH THE DAY INTO THE TEENS WITH TEMPERATURES INTO THE
   70S. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE CONFINED TO PASS/CANYON AREAS AND
   WILL WEAKEN OVERNIGHT INTO SUNDAY.

   NLY WINDS OF 15-20 MPH WILL BE LIKELY WITH N-S PRESSURE GRADIENT.
   TEMPERATURES WILL BE RELATIVELY COOL IN THE 50S AND 60S...WITH
   RESULTING RH LEVELS 15-20 PERCENT.
