   THE MID MS VALLEY BY TONIGHT. A MIX OF RAIN AND WINTRY PRECIPITATION
   WILL BE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM...AFFECTING MUCH OF THE CNTRL
   PLAINS AND UPPER MIDWEST. TSTMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF
   THE SOUTHEAST/CAROLINA PIEDMONT AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF THE OH
   VALLEY. IN THE WEST...NEXT TROUGH BEGINS TO DIG INTO THE SOUTHWEST.
   AS THE UPPER RIDGE AMPLIFIES ACROSS THE WEST COAST IN THE WAKE OF

   BY MONDAY NIGHT NEAR THE AZ/MEXICO BORDER. AS IT DOES...MID LEVEL
   JET MAX OF 55-65 KT OVER SRN CA WILL DIG AROUND THE BASE OF THE
   TROUGH WHILE SFC HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE ERN GREAT BASIN. A
   PERIOD OF GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS IS EXPECTED BEGINNING LATE MONDAY
   INTO TUE. ELSEWHERE...LARGE SCALE TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE
   NORTHEAST WHILE NEXT SHORTWAVE TROUGH PROGRESSES INTO THE NRN
   PLAINS.

   STRONG OFFSHORE WINDS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH PASSES AND CANYONS LATE
   MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. WIND GUSTS TO 40-50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE. MIN RH
   VALUES WILL LIKELY BE AROUND 15-20 PERCENT FOR MOST LOCATIONS...SO A
   CRITICAL AREA IS NOT FORECAST. HOWEVER...WITH DRY AMBIENT
   CONDITIONS...THIS SITUATION WILL BE MONITORED CAREFULLY.
