   THE GREAT BASIN EWD ACROSS THE PLAINS STATES AND INTO THE DEEP
   SOUTH. THE WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH WRN RIDGE AS WELL
   AS GREAT BASIN HIGH WILL ALLOW HIGH FIRE DANGER TO PERSIST ACROSS
   PORTIONS OF SRN CA.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: LOCALLY STRONG/GUSTY WINDS AND CONTINUED LOW RH
   
   A MODERATE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL EXIST TODAY ACROSS SRN CA WHICH
   WILL MAINTAIN LOCALLY STRONG WIND GUSTS. LOCALIZED WINDS OF 15-30
   MPH WILL OCCUR IN FAVORED AREAS NEAR PASSES AND CANYONS ESPECIALLY
   ACROSS PORTIONS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES....WHILE RH
   DECREASES TO NEAR 10 PERCENT INLAND. THE WINDS WILL TEND TO WEAKEN
   BY LATE AFTERNOON AS PRESSURE GRADIENT WEAKENS...BUT MAY STRENGTHEN
   A BIT OVERNIGHT WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE COOL.

   MARGINAL PRESSURE GRADIENTS IN THOSE AREAS WILL KEEP FIRE THREAT
   ELEVATED WITH LOCALLY STRONG WIND GUSTS SRN CA.

   WEAK TO LOCALLY GUSTY OFFSHORE FLOW WILL PERSIST ON WED...WITH VERY
   LOW RH VALUES AND WARMING TEMPERATURES. GUSTY WINDS WILL BE LIKELY
   WED MORNING THROUGH PASSES/CANYONS ESPECIALLY VENTURA AND LOS
   ANGELES COUNTIES ALTHOUGH MORNING TEMPERATURES WILL START OFF COOL.
   SEVERAL DAYS OF VERY DRY WEATHER ALONG WITH SOME STRONGER WIND GUSTS
   WILL RESULT IN NEAR CRITICAL CONDITIONS ON A LOCAL SCALE.

   HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE DRY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE
   DEEP SOUTH. ON WED...A WEAK SURFACE TROUGH WILL SHIFT EWD ACROSS THE
   APPALACHIANS AND WILL CAUSE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN WLY WINDS TO NEAR
   15 MPH. RH MAY DROP INTO THE 25-30 PERCENT RANGE DESPITE COOL
   TEMPERATURES IN THE 50S. THUS...INCREASED FIRE THREAT MAY EXIST
   DURING PEAK HEATING/AFTERNOON HOURS.
