   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0439 AM CST FRI FEB 02 2007

   VALID 031200Z - 041200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
THE BROAD UPPER TROUGH WILL REMAIN OVER THE CENTRAL/ERN CONUS
THROUGH TOMORROW. IN ASSOCIATION WITH THIS TROUGH...BELOW NORMAL
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN BEHIND A COLD FRONT ACROSS MOST OF THE SERN
STATES. THE EXCEPTION TO THIS WILL BE OVER SRN FL WHERE TEMPERATURES
WILL REMAIN NEAR SEASONAL NORMALS. MIN RH READINGS WILL RANGE FROM
20 PERCENT IN AL/GA TO AROUND 35 PERCENT IN NRN FL. A COMBINATION OF
TEMPERATURES IN THE 50S AND RECENT RAINFALL WILL PRECLUDE ANY FIRE
WEATHER CONCERNS IN THIS REGION. WELL BEHIND THE FRONT...
TEMPERATURES WILL BEGIN TO REBOUND OVER TX AND THE SRN HIGH PLAINS
AS WINDS BECOME SSWLY. UPPER RIDGING WILL REMAIN OVER THE WEST
COAST...ALLOWING FOR A CONTINUED WARMING TREND. WEAK OFFSHORE FLOW
WILL SUPPORT HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S AND LOW RH READINGS AROUND
15 PERCENT IN SRN CA INLAND VALLEYS/DESERTS. WINDS WILL INCREASE TO
AROUND 20 MPH OVERNIGHT...BUT MIN RH READINGS ARE FORECAST TO
   AVERAGE AROUND 20 PERCENT.

   ...SRN CA...
OFFSHORE FLOW WILL INCREASE OVERNIGHT DUE TO DIURNAL EFFECTS AS SFC
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE GREAT BASIN...AND THE THERMAL SFC
TROUGH INTENSIFIES OVER THE COAST OF SRN CA IN RESPONSE TO WARMING
TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER ATMOSPHERE. ATTM...IT APPEARS THAT
SUSTAINED ELY WINDS WILL AVERAGE AROUND 20 MPH ACROSS THE FAVORABLE
   HIGHER TERRAIN AREAS LATE TONIGHT.
