...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR SRN NM...CNTRL NM AND FAR WEST
   TX...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A VIGOROUS UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE WEST COAST WILL MOVE EWD INTO
THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST TODAY. THIS WILL RESULT IN STRONG SWLY SFC
WINDS AHEAD OF THE TROUGH ACROSS THE SW DESERTS AND SRN ROCKIES.
AFTERNOON TEMPS WILL BE ABOVE NORMAL IN MANY AREAS ACROSS THE
SOUTHWEST WHICH COMBINED WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND THE STRONG
WINDS WILL SUPPORT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS PARTS OF
SRN NM...CNTRL NM AND FAR WEST TX.

ACROSS THE CNTRL AND ERN CONUS...AN UPPER RIDGE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE
FROM THE UPPER MIDWEST EXTENDING SEWD TO THE SRN ATLANTIC SEABOARD.
THIS WILL RESULT IN WELL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF
THE ERN U.S. HOWEVER...LIGHT WINDS AND MODEST RELATIVE HUMIDITIES
WILL KEEP CONDITIONS BELOW THE CRITICAL LEVEL.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - SRN NM...CNTRL NM AND FAR WEST TX...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: SUSTAINED SWLY WINDS FROM 20-30 MPH WITH GUSTS
OVER 35 MPH...MIN RH READINGS NEAR 15 PERCENT

AS THE UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH MOVES INTO THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST
TODAY...A PACIFIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE EWD ACROSS AZ AND UT. AHEAD
OF THE FRONT...STRONG SWLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP IN THE AFTERNOON.
MIXING AND DRY AIR ADVECTION ALONG THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL ALLOW
DEWPOINTS TO DROP INTO THE TEENS ACROSS MUCH OF THE SRN ROCKIES.
THIS SHOULD RESULT IN RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AROUND 15% ACROSS MUCH OF
SRN NM...CNTRL NM AND FAR WEST TX WHERE A CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
   THREAT IS LOCATED ATTM.
