   VALID 081200Z - 091200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
EARLY MORNING WATER VAPOR LOOPS SHOWED LARGE VORTEX CENTERED OVER
SRN QUEBEC...WITH ANOTHER IMPULSE/JET STREAK MOVING SEWD ACROSS THE
DAKOTAS AND NEB. ANOTHER QUICK MOVING SHORTWAVE TROUGH WAS OVER
SCNTRL TX AND BOTH OF THESE IMPULSES WILL HELP MAINTAIN CONFLUENT
ZONE EXTENDING THROUGH THE TN VALLEY AND SERN STATES. ERN CANADIAN
STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE NEWD THROUGH TONIGHT...WHILE ANOTHER UPPER
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DROPS SWD INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST. SFC HIGH
PRESSURE RIDGE WILL SHIFT EWD INTO THE TN VALLEY TODAY...WHICH WILL
MEAN A DECREASE IN OVERALL WIND SPEEDS RELATIVE TO SATURDAY.
HOWEVER...VERY DRY COOL AIRMASS WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE
   SOUTHEAST...HEIGHTENING FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS.

   ...PORTIONS OF AL/GA/SRN VA/CAROLINAS/FL...

CRITICALLY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL PERSIST TODAY ACROSS
THE ENTIRE REGION...WITH READINGS GENERALLY BELOW 25 PERCENT. WITH
RECORD LOWS EXPECTED FOR MANY LOCATIONS THIS MORNING...HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL STILL BE AT LEAST 10-20 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL...AT
LEAST FOR LOCATIONS IN THE CAROLINAS/GA/AL. SFC WINDS WILL ALSO BE
WEAKEST ACROSS AL/GA...GENERALLY IN THE 5-15 MPH RANGE THOUGH OCNL
STRONGER GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE AFTN. SLIGHTLY STRONGER WINDS /IN
THE 10-20 MPH RANGE/ ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE CAROLINA PIEDMONT.
ALTHOUGH DROUGHT CONDITIONS ARE MORE SEVERE IN FL AND TEMPERATURES
WILL BE WARMER...WINDS WILL ALSO BE WEAKER.

OVERALL...CONDITIONS ARE TOO MARGINAL TO WARRANT A CRITICAL FIRE
OUTLOOK. HOWEVER...THE VERY DRY FUELS AND LOW HUMIDITY WILL PROVIDE
FAVORABLE BURNING CONDITIONS SHOULD IGNITIONS OCCUR.

   ...LOWER ELEVATIONS OF SERN AZ...
SFC WINDS WILL INCREASE TO AROUND 20-30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS BY
AFTN IN RESPONSE TO SHORTWAVE TROUGH MOVING ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN
TODAY. WITH MAX TEMPS IN THE 80S/90S...MINIMUM RH VALUES WILL FALL
BELOW 15 PERCENT. THIS WILL INCREASE WILDFIRE CONCERNS ACROSS THE
   AREA TODAY.
