   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0501 AM CDT MON APR 09 2007

   VALID 101200Z - 111200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
NEAR CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP ON TUESDAY ACROSS PORTIONS
OF THE SOUTHWEST AHEAD OF APPROACHING WEST COAST STORM SYSTEM. THIS
SYSTEM IS NOW EVIDENT IN MORNING WATER VAPOR IMAGERY...AND
ASSOCIATED LARGE SCALE HEIGHT FALLS WILL SUPPORT FURTHER DEEPENING
OF LEE SIDE TROUGH AND INCREASING PRESSURE GRADIENT ACROSS THE
   SOUTHWEST/FOUR CORNERS.

   ...SOUTHWEST...
SUSTAINED WLY WINDS OF 20-30 MPH ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS
PORTIONS OF NRN/CNTRL AZ AND NM ON TUESDAY. MAX TEMPS IN THE 60S AND
70S /WITH 80S IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF SE AZ AND ERN NM/ WILL BE
COMMON ALONG WITH RH VALUES BELOW 15 PERCENT. DRY FUELS ARE PRESENT
ACROSS THE ERN PLAINS OF NM AND SERN AZ. THESE FUEL CONDITIONS
COMBINED WITH STRENGTHENING WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY MAY INCREASE THE
POTENTIAL FOR WIND DRIVEN WILDFIRES ON TUESDAY.
