   THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE COUNTRY AND PRIMARY COLD FRONT REACHES THE
   ATLANTIC SEABOARD. IN THE WAKE OF AN UPPER LOW DRIFTING SOUTHWARD
   OVER BAJA...UPPER RIDGE WILL BECOME PROMINENT ACROSS MUCH OF THE
   WESTERN STATES BENEATH A STRONG PACIFIC JET NOSING INTO THE PACIFIC
   NORTHWEST/WESTERN CANADA. ALONG WITH MUCH OF THE SOUTHWEST/GREAT
   BASIN...WARMER/DRIER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN CA
   TODAY...WITH SOME LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS IN FAVORED AREAS BOTH EARLY
   AND LATE IN THE PERIOD ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE ESTABLISHED OFFSHORE

   PREVALENT OVER MUCH OF THE NATIONS MID SECTION. WARMER
   TEMPERATURES/LOWER RH VALUES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF
   THE SOUTHWEST STATES/INTERMOUNTAIN WEST BENEATH THE UPPER RIDGE.

   ON DAY 1 MAY BE A MINOR NEGATING FACTOR...DRYING CONTINENTAL
   TRAJECTORIES SHOULD ALLOW AFTERNOON RH VALUES TO NEAR CRITICAL
   LEVELS SATURDAY AFTERNOON. WEST WINDS SHOULD BE 10 MPH OR LESS.
   
   ...NORTHERN MT/NORTHERN ND...
   AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT...UNSEASONABLY WARM CONDITIONS /15-20 DEGREES
   ABOVE SEASONAL NORMS/ ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MT/ND ON SATURDAY...WITH
   HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE MIDDLE 70S TO LOWER 80S. WITH THE
   APPROACH/PASSAGE OF THE COLD FRONT...GUSTY WEST-SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE
