   DAY 1 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0355 AM CDT THU MAY 10 2007

   VALID 101200Z - 111200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
UPPER RIDGE WILL BUILD OVER THE GREAT BASIN AND FOUR CORNERS STATES
WITH HOT AND VERY DRY CONDITIONS PERSISTING. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
WILL OCCUR AROUND NRN EDGE OF THE RIDGE FROM NRN OR/ID INTO WRN MT
WHERE AN UPPER SHORTWAVE TROUGH WILL MAKE A GLANCING BLOW. EWD INTO
THE PLAINS...COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL FILTER SEWD BEHIND A COLD
FRONT ACROSS THE UPPER MS VALLEY WITH GUSTY NWLY WINDS AND MARGINAL
FIRE THREAT INTO MN/WI WHERE IT HAS BEEN DRY. ANDREA WILL CONTINUE
TO SPIN JUST OFF THE FL/GA COAST PROVIDING ENHANCED WIND FIELDS
   INLAND GA/FL.

   ...NRN MN INTO NRN WI...
NWLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15-20 MPH OVER MUCH OF NRN MN THROUGH
THE DAY BEHIND A WEAK COLD FRONT...WITH LESSER SPEEDS OF 10-15 MPH
OVER WI. IT WILL BE WARMEST OVER SRN MN INTO WI...WITH TEMPERATURES
IN THE 80S AND MIN RH OF 25-30 PERCENT. COMBINATION OF LOW RH AND
WINDS WILL BE NEAR CRITICAL LEVELS GIVEN DROUGHT CONDITIONS IN PLACE
ESPECIALLY NRN MN INTO NRN WI.

...SRN GA AND FL PANHANDLE...SRN FL...
WINDS OF 10-15 MPH WILL CONTINUE AROUND ANDREA TODAY. THIS WILL
RESULT IN RELATIVELY MOIST RH VALUES FAR SERN GA INTO NERN/ERN
FL...BUT DRIER AIR WITH RH OF 30-35 PERCENT WILL BE FOUND OVER THE
FL PANHANDLE INTO SWRN GA. ANOTHER AREA OF RELATIVELY DRY AIR WILL
BE OVER SRN INLAND FL...WHERE WLY WINDS MAY BRING RH VALUES DOWN
INTO THE 30 PERCENT RANGE BY LATE AFTERNOON. GIVEN ONGOING DROUGHT
   CONDITIONS...AND WARM TEMPERATURES...BORDERLINE CRITICAL CONDITIONS
   ARE ANTICIPATED THIS AFTERNOON.

...CNTRL AND SRN NV...SRN CA AND NWRN AZ...
IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE VERY WARM AND EXTREMELY DRY UNDER A
STRENGTHENING UPPER RIDGE. MIN RH IN THE SINGLE DIGITS WILL OCCUR
BUT SOME GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO LIKELY. SUSTAINED SPEEDS AROUND 15 MPH
ARE LIKELY WITH HIGHER GUSTS AS HEIGHT GRADIENT TIGHTENS ON WRN EDGE
OF RIDGE. IN ADDITION...A HIGH HAINES INDEX WILL BE PRESENT OVER
MUCH OF THE AREA INDICATING HIGH FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL LATE IN THE
   DAY.

   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0357 AM CDT THU MAY 10 2007

   VALID 111200Z - 121200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
UPPER RIDGE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD OVER THE GREAT BASIN AND FOUR
CORNERS AREA AS AN UPPER TROUGH APPROACHES THE PACIFIC COAST. HOT
AND VERY DRY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL WITH AFTERNOON GUSTY WINDS. TO
THE E...WEAK UPPER LOW WILL BRING RAIN TO THE TX COAST INTO THE
LOWER MS VALLEY...WHILE REMNANTS OF ANDREA BRING ISOLATED SHOWERS TO
   CNTRL FL.

   ...NV...WRN UT...WRN AZ...SERN CA...
CONDITIONS WILL BE SIMILAR ON FRIDAY AS ON PREVIOUS DAY...WITH
SUSTAINED SLY WINDS NEAR 15 MPH GUSTING TO 20 DEVELOPING BY
AFTERNOON ALONG WITH HOT AND EXTREMELY DRY CONDITIONS. GIVEN A HIGH
HAINES INDEX...FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL WILL BE ENHANCED DURING THE
AFTERNOON...WHILE THE AFTERNOON WIND GUSTS ADD TO FIRE DANGER. WINDS
WILL INCREASE FURTHER THIS WEEKEND AS UPPER RIDGE BREAKS
   DOWN...INCREASING FIRE DANGER.

   ...SRN GA INTO FL PANHANDLE...
POCKETS OF LOW RH WILL REMAIN AS SURFACE WINDS CONTINUE OUT OF THE
NE. NE WINDS AROUND 10 MPH ARE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH VERY WARM
TEMPERATURES AND MARGINALLY LOW RH NEAR 35 PERCENT DURING THE
