A BROAD UPPER TROUGH WILL REMAIN OVER THE CENTRAL/ERN CONUS THROUGH
THE PERIOD. SCT PRECIPITATION WILL AGAIN OCCUR OVER A BROAD AREA OF
THE NATION EAST OF THE ROCKIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM. ON THE

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR THE NWRN GREAT BASIN...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A BROAD UPPER TROUGH WILL REMAIN CENTERED OVER THE ERN CONUS
TOMORROW. MODERATE WLY MID LEVEL WINDS OVER THE SRN PORTION OF THIS
TROUGH ACROSS THE SERN STATES/CAROLINAS WILL SUPPORT BREEZY SWLY
CONDITIONS AT THE SURFACE ACROSS MOST OF THE SOUTHEAST. MIN RH
READINGS WILL BE RELATIVELY LOW /30-40 PERCENT/ ACROSS MUCH OF THIS
REGION...BUT RECENT SOAKING RAINS OVER MUCH OF THE AREA SHOULD LIMIT
ANY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT. FURTHER WEST...AN UPPER RIDGE WILL
BEGIN TO BREAKDOWN AS A STRONG UPPER TROUGH MOVES INTO THE WEST
COAST. INCREASING SWLY FLOW WILL OCCUR AT THE SFC OVER PORTIONS OF
THE WRN GREAT BASIN ASSOCIATED WITH THIS APPROACHING UPPER SYSTEM.
ALONG WITH LOW RH READINGS...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THIS REGION.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - THE NWRN GREAT BASIN...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: SUSTAINED WSWLY WINDS FROM 20-25 MPH...MIN RH
   READINGS FROM 8-15 PERCENT

AS AN UPPER TROUGH DIGS SEWD INTO THE PAC NW THROUGH THE PERIOD...AN
AREA OF SFC LOW PRESSURE WILL DEEPEN OVER THE ERN/NRN GREAT BASIN.
INCREASING MID LEVEL SWLY FLOW WILL SUPPORT AN INCREASE OF SFC WINDS
TO BETWEEN 20-25 MPH OVER THE NWRN GREAT BASIN...STRONGEST ALONG
THE ERN SIERRA NEVADA FRONT RANGE OF NWRN NV. VERY WARM TEMPERATURES
AND LOW DEWPTS AHEAD WILL SUPPORT MIN RH READINGS FROM 8-15
PERCENT... LEADING TO A CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT.
