   GREAT BASIN...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
ANOTHER DAY OF DRY TSTMS WILL OCCUR OVER PORTIONS OF THE INTERMTN
WEST WHICH WILL LEAD TO ANOTHER DAY OF CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS. THE REMAINDER OF THE WEST WILL CONTINUE TO SEE MORE IN
THE WAY OF HOT TEMPERATURES AS AN UPPER RIDGE REMAINS IN CONTROL

THE REMNANTS OF A SFC FRONT WILL MOVE SWD INTO THE CENTRAL GREAT
BASIN...EXTENDING FROM CENTRAL NV INTO ERN UT BY THE AFTERNOON. MID
LEVEL MOISTURE ATOP A DEEPLY MIXED/DRY BOUNDARY LAYER ALONG WITH
CONVERGENCE ALONG THIS BOUNDARY WILL SUPPORT SCT DRY TSTMS DURING
THE AFTERNOON/EVENING HOURS. STRONG GUSTY/ERRATIC WINDS WILL BE
POSSIBLE INVOF OF ANY DRY TSTM.

...HIGH DESERTS/MTNS OF SRN CA/SRN NV AND NRN AZ...
ANOTHER DAY OF GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RH READINGS WILL OCCUR OVER THE
REGION TODAY. BASED ON YESTERDAY/S RAWS OBS AND LITTLE SENSIBLE
CHANGES IN THE LARGE SCALE FEATURES AND PATTERN...SUSTAINED WINDS
WILL REMAIN BELOW 20 MPH AGAIN TODAY PRECLUDING A CRITICAL OUTLOOK
AREA. HOWEVER...ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND SEASONALLY LOW DEWPTS

   0414 AM CDT SUN JUL 08 2007

   VALID 091200Z - 101200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
UPPER PATTERN WILL BECOME MORE AMPLIFIED DURING THE DAY 2
PERIOD...AS UPPER RIDGING INTENSIFIES OFF THE PAC NW...AND AN UPPER
LOW MOVES CLOSER TO THE CA COAST. THE RESULT WILL BE THE BEGINNING
OF A NWD TRANSPORT OF MID LEVEL MONSOONAL MOISTURE ALONG THE WEST
COAST. ISOLATED DRY TSTMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE MTNS OF NRN CA
DURING THE AFTERNOON EVENING...WITH DRY TSTMS ALSO A POSSIBILITY
OVER SRN CA OVERNIGHT. WITH THE BUILDING UPPER RIDGE...OFFSHORE
WINDS WILL DEVELOP AND INCREASE OVER AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF THE
CASCADES OF WA/ORE. DOWNSTREAM OF THE UPPER RIDGE...A STRONG UPPER
TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE NRN PLAINS BY THE END OF THE PERIOD.

   ...SRN CA...
ANOTHER DAY OF GUSTY AFTERNOON WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE HIGH
DESERT...AS A STRONG THERMAL GRADIENT REMAINS IN PLACE OVER THE
REGION. SUSTAINED WINDS WILL HOWEVER REMAIN LESS THAN 20 MPH OVER
THIS AREA. AN UPPER LOW OFF SRN BAJA CA TODAY WILL MOVE SLOWLY NWD
TOMORROW. INCREASING MID LEVEL MOISTURE COMBINED WITH AFTERNOON
HEATING OVER THE MTNS OF NRN BAJA AND FAR SRN CA MAY SUPPORT
ISOLATED TSTM DEVELOPMENT IN THESE AREAS. ANY TSTMS ARE EXPECTED TO
   BE HIGH BASED AND DRY.

   ...NRN CA/NWRN NV...
MID LEVEL MOISTURE OVER THE CENTRAL GREAT BASIN TODAY WILL LIFT NWWD
TOMORROW AHEAD OF AN UPPER LOW APPROACHING THE CA COAST. LACK OF
WELL DEFINED FORCING MECHANISM WILL KEEP DRY TSTMS ISOLATED OVER THE
NRN SIERRA NEVADA AND THE SHASTA/SISKYOU MTNS DURING THE AFTERNOON.

   ...WRN ORE/WA...
AS AN UPPER RIDGE BUILDS OVER THE AREA...OFFSHORE WINDS WILL DEVELOP
AND INCREASE. VERY WARM TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT...WITH READINGS
10-20 DEG F ABOVE AVERAGE...RESULTING IN MIN RH READINGS FROM 20-30
