   UPPER TROUGH AXIS WILL EXTEND FROM THE UPPER MS VALLEY SWWD INTO THE
   ERN GREAT BASIN WHILE UPPER RIDGE BUILDS OVER THE WRN STATES. A
   LARGE SURFACE LOW WILL SWEEP EWD ACROSS CNTRL CANADA WITH TRAILING
   SFC TROUGH INTO THE NRN PLAINS AND STRONG WLY FLOW BEHIND OVER
   MT/ND. A SURFACE FRONT WILL EXTEND FROM WI SWWD INTO THE TX
   PANHANDLE AND BACK NWWD INTO THE FAR SRN GREAT BASIN. THERMAL RIDGE
   AXIS WILL EXTEND FROM CA INTO WRN OREGON THIS AFTERNOON.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: GUSTY E WINDS AND VERY LOW RH
   
   GUSTY E WINDS WILL BE ONGOING THIS MORNING THROUGH PASSES AND
   CANYONS WITH GUSTS OVER 30-40 MPH LOCALLY. RH LEVELS ARE ALREADY LOW
   THIS MORNING AND WILL DECREASE FURTHER AS TEMPERATURES RISE WELL
   INTO THE 90S. SOME AREAS MAY SEE RH NEAR 10 PERCENT. GIVEN EXTREMELY
   LOW RH AND GUSTY WINDS...CRITICAL FIRE THREAT WILL BE MAINTAINED
   TODAY...ALTHOUGH WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DECREASE BY LATE IN THE DAY.
   LOCALLY GUSTY E WINDS WILL REMAIN ESPECIALLY NWRN OREGON TONIGHT
   WITH POOR RH RECOVERY IN THE MTNS.

   WLY WINDS WILL INCREASE QUICKLY AFTER SUNRISE TO 15-25 MPH WITH
   HIGHER GUSTS AS A SURFACE TROUGH SWEEPS EWD ACROSS CANADA INTO THE
   RED RIVER VALLEY. RELATIVELY COOL TEMPERATURES IN THE 60S AND
   70S...ALONG WITH RH ABOVE 20 PERCENT...WILL TEMPER FIRE THREAT.

   GENERALLY COOL CONDITIONS FROM THE NRN PLAINS EWD INTO THE NE. A
   SURFACE FRONT WILL EXTEND FROM THE ERN SEABOARD INTO CNTRL TX...WITH
   HIGH PRESSURE OVER MUCH OF THE PLAINS STATES AND ALSO ACROSS THE
   INTERMOUNTAIN WEST WHERE AN UPPER RIDGE WILL EXIST WITH WARM
   TEMPERATURES AND LOW RH.
   
   ...CA/GREAT BASIN INTO THE PACIFIC NW...
   A VERY DRY AIR MASS BROUGHT INTO PLACE BY HIGH PRESSURE WILL WARM
   UNDERNEATH THE UPPER RIDGE...AND WILL RESULT IN VERY WARM AND DRY
   CONDITIONS DURING THE AFTERNOON. THE HAINES INDEX WILL BE IN THE MDT
   TO HIGH CATEGORY...WITH INCREASED FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL BY LATE IN
   THE DAY DESPITE MAINLY WEAK AND TERRAIN DRIVEN WINDS.
