   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A DRY AIR MASS DUE TO HIGH PRESSURE WILL COVER MUCH OF THE
INTERMOUNTAIN WEST AND WILL MOVE INTO THE PLAINS STATES TODAY AS
UPPER TROUGHS SHIFTS EWD ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES AND OH VALLEY.
MEANWHILE...UPPER RIDGE WILL TEMPORARILY BUILD OVER THE ROCKIES AS A
POWERFUL UPPER TROUGH MOVES ASHORE THE PACIFIC NW. THIS TROUGH WILL
CREATE INCREASED SWLY WINDS OVER MUCH OF THE GREAT BASIN AND PACIFIC
   NW WITH LOW RH.

   ...ERN WA/OR...ID...
SWLY WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING WITH
SUSTAINED SPEEDS AROUND 15 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS ESPECIALLY NEAR
RIDGETOPS. RH WILL BE MARGINALLY LOW FROM 15-20 PERCENT IN GENERAL
WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES MAINLY IN THE 70S.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR NWRN AZ...SRN AND ERN
   NV...UT...SERN ID...WY...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A STRONG UPPER TROUGH WILL AMPLIFY AS IT MOVE ACROSS THE PACIFIC NW
AND INTO THE GREAT BASIN AND NRN ROCKIES. AT THE SURFACE A STRONG
COLD FRONT WILL EXTEND FROM WRN MT INTO NWRN NV FRI AFTERNOON. AHEAD
OF THIS FRONT...A STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL CAUSE A LARGE AREA
OF STRONG SWLY WINDS ALONG WITH MARGINALLY LOW RH. WINDS WILL SHIFT
WITH THE COLD FRONT PASSAGE ACROSS WRN NV...WRN ID AND WRN MD DURING
THE AFTERNOON. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO OCCUR ALONG THIS
FRONT. FARTHER E...A STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT BETWEEN THE
DEVELOPING SYSTEM OVER THE WEST AND HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE MS VALLEY
WILL INDUCED STRONG SELY WINDS ACROSS THE CNTRL AND NRN PLAINS WITH
   WARM TEMPERATURES AND LOW RH.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - NWRN AZ...SRN AND ERN NV...UT...SERN
   ID...WY...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: VERY STRONG WINDS...LOW RH

SWLY WINDS WILL INCREASE OVER A BROAD AREA FRI AFTERNOON AHEAD OF A
COLD FRONT WHICH WILL LIE FROM WRN MT ACROSS SRN ID INTO NWRN NV.
SUSTAINED SPEEDS OF 20-30 MPH WILL BE WIDESPREAD...WITH HIGHER GUSTS
OF 30-50 MPH IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN. RH MAY BE MARGINAL IN
AREAS...BUT SOME SPOTS WILL LIKELY SEE MIN VALUES NEAR 15 PERCENT
DESPITE RELATIVELY COOL TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S...EXCEPT FOR 80S
OVER SRN PORTIONS OF NV AND NWRN AZ. THE STRONG WINDS WILL PERSIST
NEAR RIDGE TOPS OVERNIGHT BUT RH WILL DECREASE BELOW CRITICAL LEVELS
   WITH COOL TEMPERATURES.

   ...WRN NV...
SW WINDS WILL INCREASE AND SHIFT TO A WLY DIRECTION AS A COLD FRONT
PASSES FRI AFTERNOON. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20-30 MPH WILL BE LIKELY
WITH HIGHER GUSTS. COOL TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE LOWER 70S SHOULD
KEEP RH LEVELS JUST ABOVE CRITICAL LEVELS...FROM 15-20 PERCENT.

   ...WRN NEB AND SD...
LOW PRESSURE WILL DEEPEN LATE IN THE DAY OVER ERN MT WHICH WILL
PRODUCE A VERY STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT ACROSS THE NRN PLAINS. SELY
WINDS OF 25-35 MPH WILL RESULT WITH WARM TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S. RH
LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO DROP TO AROUND 20 PERCENT OVER WRN SD AND
NEB...WITH HIGHER VALUES FARTHER E OF 20-30 PERCENT CNTRL SD/NEB.

BOTH OF THE AFOREMENTIONED AREAS ABOVE COULD BE UPGRADED TO CRITICAL
IF RH IS LOWER THAN CURRENTLY FORECAST.
