   A SHORTWAVE TROUGH WILL MOVE FROM THE ROCKIES INTO THE PLAINS
   THROUGH TONIGHT. ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TROUGH A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH
   SEWD THROUGH THE PLAINS/UPPER MIDWEST. IN THE WAKE OF THIS
   FRONT...MODERATE NWLY WINDS FROM 15-20 MPH WILL DEVELOP THIS
   AFTERNOON OVER THE CENTRAL/NRN PLAINS. RH READINGS LESS THAN 30
   PERCENT WILL SUPPORT SOME FIRE DANGER OVER THIS REGION THIS
   AFTERNOON...BUT MARGINAL WINDS COMBINED WITH THESE LOW RH READINGS
   WILL PRECLUDE ANY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT. LOW RH READINGS AND
   WEAK OFFSHORE FLOW WILL OCCUR OVER SRN CA TODAY IN THE WAKE OF THIS
   ROCKIES UPPER SYSTEM. LIGHT WINDS OR MODERATE TO HIGH RH READINGS
   WILL EXIST ACROSS THE COUNTRY TODAY.

   A STRONG UPPER TROUGH OVER THE GULF OF ALASKA WILL DIG SWD INTO THE
   PAC NW BY THE END OF THE PERIOD. STRENGTHENING MID LEVEL FLOW OVER
   THE ROCKIES WILL SUPPORT MODEST PRESSURE FALLS OVER THE HIGH
   PLAINS...WHICH WILL INDUCE MODERATE SFC WINDS. DRY LOW LEVELS WILL
   COMBINE WITH THE WINDS TO PRODUCE A NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
   THREAT OVER PORTIONS OF THE HIGH PLAINS. FURTHER WEST...SWLY WINDS
   WILL INCREASE OVER THE SRN GREAT BASIN SUPPORTED BY STRENGTHENING
   WIND FIELDS AND A DEEPENING LOW PRESSURE AREA OVER THE NRN GREAT
   BASIN.
   
   ...CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS...
   A STRONG WLY MID/UPPER JET WILL DEVELOP OVER THE NRN ROCKIES
   TOMORROW AHEAD OF A DEEPENING UPPER TROUGH OVER THE NERN PACIFIC/PAC
   NW. THIS WILL INDUCE A STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET OVER THE CENTRAL
   HIGH PLAINS. DRY CONTINENTAL AIR WILL COMBINE WITH RISING
   TEMPERATURES TO PRODUCE MIN RH READINGS AROUND 15-20 PERCENT.
   
   ...SRN GREAT BASIN...
   STRENGTHENING MID LEVEL WINDS OVER THE NRN GREAT BASIN/NRN SIERRA
   NEVADA WILL SUPPORT A DEEPENING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE NRN
   GREAT BASIN TOMORROW...WITH SWLY SFC WINDS AVERAGING FROM 15-20 MPH.
   WARM TEMPERATURES WILL COMBINE WITH SEASONABLY DRY AIR TO PRODUCE
   MIN RH READINGS AROUND 15 PERCENT. THIS AREA WILL BE MONITORED FOR
   POTENTIAL UPGRADE IF LATER FCSTS INDICATE STRONGER WINDS.
