   IMPULSE LIFTS NORTHEASTWARD OVER THE UPPER MIDWEST. AS LOW PRESSURE
   BEGINS TO DEEPEN ACROSS THE NORTHERN/CENTRAL HIGH
   PLAINS...INCREASING SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE SOUTH
   CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS...WITH BREEZY SOUTHWEST WINDS ACROSS PORTIONS OF
   SOUTHERN CA TO AZ/NM VIA THE STRONG JET OVERHEAD. EVEN WITH THE
   GUSTY WINDS IN THESE AREAS...SUFFICIENTLY HIGH RH VALUES AND/OR COOL
   TEMPERATURES WILL MITIGATE THE OVERALL FIRE THREAT...SUCH THAT

   AS LOW PRESSURE DEEPENS IN EARNEST ACROSS THE CENTRAL HIGH
   PLAINS...VERY STRONG ARE EXPECTED ACROSS A LARGE PART OF THE
   SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS ON WEDNESDAY IN THE WAKE OF A DRYLINE/PACIFIC
   COLD FRONT. A BROAD EXTENT FROM EASTERN NM INTO WEST/SOUTHWEST TX
   AND THE OK/TX PANHANDLES WILL LIKELY EXPERIENCE SUSTAINED
   WEST-SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 25-30 MPH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...WITH DEEPLY
   MIXED FORECAST SOUNDINGS SUPPORTIVE OF 40-50 MPH GUSTS. ALTHOUGH
   SIGNIFICANT WIND SPEEDS/GUSTS ARE EXPECTED...NEGATING FACTORS FOR A
   MORE SUBSTANTIAL FIRE WEATHER THREAT IS THE MARGINAL NATURE OF
   FUELS/LACK OF APPRECIABLE DROUGHT AND PERHAPS MARGINAL AFTERNOON RH
