   ...SYNOPSIS...
   A LARGE AND STRONG HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BUILD INTO THE PACIFIC
   NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN ROCKIES WITH LOW PRESSURE OFF THE NORTHERN
   CALIFORNIA COAST.  THIS WILL PRODUCE A VERY STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT
   ...RESULTING IN A MODERATELY STRONG OFFSHORE WIND EVENT ACROSS THE
   NORTHERN THIRD OF CALIFORNIA.  AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH AXIS WILL
   STRETCH FROM MONTANA SOUTHWESTWARD OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST.  A
   NEARLY STATIONARY CLOSED UPPER LOW OVER TENNESSEE/KENTUCKY WILL
   SLOWLY START TO LIFT OUT TO THE NORTHEAST.
   
   ...PORTIONS OF CNTRL CA...WEST OF SIERRA RANGE...
   A STRONG HIGH OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND LOW PRESSURE OFF THE
   NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST WILL PRODUCE STRONG NORTHEASTERLY FLOW
   ACROSS THE NORTHERN THIRD OF CALIFORNIA.  WEST OF THE SIERRA
   RANGE...TO THE COAST NEAR SAN FRANCISCO...NORTHEASTERLY WINDS WILL
   STRENGTHEN TO 15 TO 25 MPH TODAY WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS AROUND 40
   MPH.  HUMIDITY WILL DROP TO 15 TO 25 PERCENT WITH TEMPERATURES
   WARMING INTO THE 70S TO NEAR 80.  THE AREA HAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL
   DRY DAYS...HOWEVER THE FIRE DANGER HAS BEEN LOW TO MODERATE...THUS
   THE AREA WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED TODAY.
   
   ...SRN CA...
   ONSHORE FLOW WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AS THE OVERALL WIND PATTERN
   WEAKENS.  HUMIDITY WILL SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE WHERE THE ONSHORE
   FLOW CAN PENETRATE TODAY...HOWEVER...HUMIDITY MAY STILL REMAIN LOW
   IN THE INTERIOR ALONG WITH HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

   THE CLOSED UPPER LOW OVER THE MID-SECTION OF THE NATION WILL OPEN UP
   AND LIFT OUT TOWARDS NEW ENGLAND AS ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL TROUGH
   SWINGS THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES REGION.  THIS WILL SPREAD
   PRECIPITATION ACROSS MUCH OF THE EAST AND NORTHEAST.  THE SOUTHERN
   HALF OF THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH AXIS ACROSS THE NORTHWEST WILL SHIFT
   SOUTHWESTWARD...RESULTING IN AN UPPER LOW WELL OFF THE CALIFORNIA
   COAST.  AT THE SURFACE...A LARGE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BUILD
   INTO THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN U.S. BRINGING DRIER AIR TO PARTS OF
   THE SOUTHEAST.
