...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR A PART OF THE SE STATES...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
UPPER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE TO FEATURE A BROAD TROUGH ACROSS MOST
OF THE ERN 2/3 OF THE NATION THROUGH THE FCST PD WITH UPPER RIDGING
ACROSS THE WRN STATES. A BROAD AREA OF SFC HIGH PRESSURE WILL
ENCOMPASS MUCH OF THE ERN HALF OF THE NATION. DESPITE COOL
TEMPERATURES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS HIGH PRESSURE AREA...LOW RH
READINGS AND MODERATE WINDS WILL PRODUCE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS OVER PARTS OF THE SERN STATES. ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES
AND SEASONABLY LOW DWPTS WILL PRODUCE LOW RH READINGS ACROSS THE
MUCH OF THE ROCKIES AND SOUTHWEST STATES.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - SRN GA...NRN/CENTRAL FL...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: SUSTAINED NLY WINDS FROM 10-15 MPH...MIN RH
READINGS FROM 20-30 PERCENT...LONG TERM DROUGHT

BEHIND A COLD FRONT...A MODERATE N-S PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL EXIST
ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AS SFC HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE OHIO
VALLEY. NLY WINDS FROM 10-15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH WILL
DEVELOP AS A RESULT. DESPITE BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES...DRY AIR
WITH RH READINGS IN THE 20-30 PERCENT RANGE WILL SUPPORT A CRITICAL
   FIRE WEATHER THREAT.

   ...CENTRAL/SRN ROCKIES FRONT RANGE...
MODERATE WNWLY WINDS ALOFT AND STEEP LOW-MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES WILL
SUPPORT BREEZY WLY WINDS /SUSTAINED 15-20 MPH/ ALONG THE FRONT RANGE
OF THE SRN/CENTRAL ROCKIES. LOW RH READINGS /10-15 PERCENT/ COMBINED
WITH THESE WINDS WILL PRODUCE NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

   ...OK/KS...
TO THE EAST OF A LEE TROUGH...A MODERATE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL
DEVELOP OVER PORTIONS OF OK/KS. SLY WINDS FROM 15-20 MPH ARE
EXPECTED DURING THE AFTERNOON...AND COMBINED WITH LOW RH READINGS
FROM 25-30 PERCENT WILL SUPPORT NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
   CONDITIONS.

   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK

   VALID 081200Z - 091200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
THE UPPER AIR PATTERN ACROSS THE NATION WILL CHANGE LITTLE BETWEEN
TODAY AND TOMORROW AS A SERIES OF FAST MOVING DISTURBANCES IN THE
NWLY FLOW PATTERN MAINTAIN A BROAD TROUGH ACROSS THE ERN CONUS.
UPPER RIDGING OVER THE WEST WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE
PERIOD...SUPPORTING ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN
REGION. AN UPPER TROUGH OFF THE CA COAST WILL SLOWLY MOVE EWD AND
SUPPORT AN INCREASINGLY STRONG ONSHORE PATTERN INTO CENTRAL/SRN CA.
MEANWHILE...A BROAD AREA OF SFC HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE SERN STATES
WILL MAINTAIN DRY CONDITIONS AND ANOTHER DAY OF LOW RH READINGS.

   ...CENTRAL/SRN ROCKIES FRONT RANGE...
WLY WINDS FROM 15-20 MPH WILL AGAIN BE POSSIBLE DURING THE AFTERNOON
HOURS OVER THE AREA...SUPPORTED BY MODEST MID LEVEL FLOW AND STEEP
LOW-MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES. LOW RH READINGS FROM 10-15 PERCENT WILL
COMBINE WITH THESE WINDS TO SUPPORT NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
   CONDITIONS.

   ...SERN STATES...
WEAKER WINDS WILL BE PRESENT OVER THE AREA TOMORROW AS SFC HIGH
PRESSURE BUILDS FURTHER SOUTH INTO THE NRN GULF COASTAL REGION.
HOWEVER...ANOTHER DAY OF LOW RH READINGS FROM 20-30 PERCENT WILL
PRODUCE NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
