   SRN CA WILL GRADUALLY WANE THROUGH THE PERIOD AS THE OFFSHORE
   GRADIENT WEAKENS...BUT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL
   CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT. ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE SRN CONUS...MOD/HIGH
   RH READINGS WILL BE PREVALENT...PRECLUDING ANY OTHER CRITICAL FIRE

   A STRONG OFFSHORE WIND EVENT ONGOING AT THE START OF THE PERIOD
   /SUSTAINED ELY WINDS OVER 40 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 60 MPH/ WILL WEAKEN
   AS AN UPPER LOW OVER NRN MEXICO SHIFTS EWD AND SFC HIGH PRESSURE
   CENTERED OVER THE GREAT BASIN MOVES INTO THE SRN ROCKIES. WITH THE
   WEAKER GRADIENT OVERNIGHT...SUSTAINED WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH
   TO LESS THAN 30 MPH. GIVEN THE LIMITED DURATION OF EXTREMELY

   CA THROUGH 18Z...BEFORE WINDS DIMINISH TO BELOW CRITICAL THRESHOLDS.

   OVER THE SRN ROCKIES MOVES INTO WEST TX AND AN UPPER TROUGH DIGS
   SEWD ALONG THE CA COAST. THE EFFECT WILL BE A WEAKENING AND
   CESSATION OF THE OFFSHORE WINDS BY THE AFTERNOON. PRIOR TO
   CESSATION...SUSTAINED ELY WIND FROM 15-25 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE
   DURING THE MORNING. LOW RH READINGS AROUND 10 PERCENT WILL BE
