   ...SYNOPSIS...
   ONE DEEP UPPER TROUGH WILL BE EXITING THE EAST COAST DURING THE
   PERIOD AS ANOTHER LARGE TROUGH DEVELOPS ACROSS THE WEST COAST.  A
   VERY LARGE AND COLD SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM COVERS MOST OF THE
   EASTERN HALF OF THE U.S.  A STRONG SURFACE LOW PRESSURE TROUGH WILL
   DEVELOP ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS.  LITTLE IN THE WAY OF
   PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE U.S. EXCEPT FOR SOME
   SNOW ACTIVITY IN AND AROUND THE GREAT LAKES...WHILE SOME HEAVIER
   PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT THE WEST COAST BY LATE IN THE
   PERIOD.
   
   ...PORTIONS TX PNHDL..NW TX..WRN OK...
   STRONG SOUTH/SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH SOME HIGHER
   GUSTS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS WESTERN OKLAHOMA...PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
   TEXAS AND THE TEXAS PANHANDLE TODAY AND HUMIDITY WILL BE GENERALLY
   IN THE 20 TO 30 PERCENT RANGE.  MAJOR LIMITING FACTOR WILL BE THE
   LOW AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES AS VERY COLD/CONTINENTAL AIR CIRCULATES
   AROUND THE LARGE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM COVERING THE EASTERN U.S. 
   AFTERNOON HIGHS ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA/TEXAS AREAS MENTIONED WILL BE IN
   THE 40S TO NEAR 50.  WHILE SOME WILDFIRES ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE
   STRONG WINDS AND LOW RH...WITH A COMBINATION OF LOW SUN ANGLE/SHORT
   DAYS AND COOL TO COLD AFTERNOON HIGHS...WILL NOT ISSUE A CRITICAL
   AREA AT THIS TIME.
   
   ...SE US...
   VERY DRY AIR WITH AFTERNOON HUMIDITY IN THE 25 TO 35 PERCENT RANGE
   WILL COVER MUCH OF THE SE U.S....HOWEVER WINDS WILL BE LIGHTER THAN
   ON WEDNESDAY.  TEMPERATURES WILL BE UNSEASONABLY COLD WITH HIGHS IN
   THE 30S AND 40S...THUS PRECLUDING A CRITICAL AREA.

   A LARGE AREA OF COLD/DRY SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER THE
   MID-ATLANTIC STATES COVERS THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE U.S. A LARGE
   SCALE SURFACE AND UPPER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
   OVER THE WESTERN U.S. WITH HEAVY PRECIPITATION IMPACTING THE WEST
   COAST.  ELSEWHERE...NO PRECIPITATION OR ONLY LIGHT PRECIPITATION IS
   EXPECTED.  
   
   CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE DRY AND COOL TO COLD IN THE SOUTHEAST BUT
   MOISTURE WILL SLOWLY INCREASE AND WINDS GENERALLY WILL BE LIGHT. 
   WITH THE STRONG SOUTHERLY FLOW CONTINUING IN THE NATIONS
   MID-SECTION...HUMIDITY WILL ALSO SLOWLY INCREASE.
