PROGRESS SLOWLY NEWD FROM THE FAR NRN HIGH PLAINS INTO SRN MANITOBA
THROUGH EARLY FRI. BELT OF STRONGER MID-LEVEL WLYS WILL STRETCH
AROUND THE BASE OF THE TROUGH AXIS FROM THE FOUR CORNERS THROUGH THE

ALTHOUGH LOW-LEVEL MASS FIELDS WILL NOT BE AS CONDUCIVE FOR
WIDESPREAD AND INTENSE WINDS AS OCCURRED ON WED...PERSISTENCE OF 500
MB WLYS AOA 60 MPH SHOULD RESULT IN STRONG WINDS AT PEAK HEATING.
STEEPENING LAPSE RATES WILL RESULT IN SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS FROM
20 TO 25 MPH. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOLER COMPARED TO WED /GENERALLY

RECENT MESONET OBSERVATIONS INDICATE AREAS OF GUSTY WINDS AND POOR
RH RECOVERY PERSISTING ALONG THE ERN SLOPES OF THE COASTAL RANGES
AND WRN SLOPES OF THE NRN SIERRAS THIS MORNING. OVERALL KINEMATIC
SUPPORT WILL CONTINUE TO WANE AS MID-LEVEL JET AXIS SHIFTS EWD...AND
AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE GREAT BASIN AND THE
PRESSURE GRADIENT WEAKENS. AS A RESULT...SUSTAINED WINDS AOA 20 MPH
SHOULD BECOME INCREASINGLY LOCALIZED AND OF SHORTER DURATION THAN IN
PREVIOUS DAYS. RH VALUES WILL NEVERTHELESS REMAIN LOW WITH LONG
