   TROUGH WILL FURTHER ENHANCE THE FIRE THREAT OVER NRN CA...SRN OR AND
   NWRN NV WHERE NUMEROUS LIGHTING STRIKES OCCURRED RECENTLY.
   
   ELSEWHERE...A LARGE UPPER TROUGH WILL REMAIN OVER THE ERN
   STATES...WITH DRY HIGH PRESSURE SPREADING SEWD ACROSS THE MIDWEST
   INTO THE MID ATLANTIC. LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS AND A DRY AIR MASS WILL
   PREVAIL OVER VA AND NC WHERE IT HAS BEEN DRY.

   WITH AMPLE MID LEVEL MOISTURE AND AN UPPER TROUGH APPROACHING. SWLY
   WINDS WILL SHUNT MOISTURE NEWD THIS AFTERNOON...WITH STORMS LIKELY
   ALONG AND E OF A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH FROM NERN OREGON INTO ID AND
   WRN MT. WHILE MANY STORMS WILL CONTAIN HEAVY RAIN...DRY STORMS WILL
   ALSO BE LIKELY ESPECIALLY ERN OR INTO SWRN ID WHERE THE HOTTEST AIR
   WILL RESIDE.

   AN UPPER JET ASSOCIATED WITH THE UPPER TROUGH WILL MOVE OVERHEAD
   TODAY...AND WILL CREATE LOCALLY WINDY CONDITIONS.SUSTAINED SWLY
   WINDS NEAR 20 MPH ARE LIKELY WITH LOCALLY HIGHER SPEEDS IN THE
   HIGHER TERRAIN. RH VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO BE A BIT MARGINAL...FROM
   15-20 PERCENT IN GENERAL. ALTHOUGH A MARGINAL WIND/RH COMBO...THE
   DRYING AND INCREASED WINDS MAY YIELD NEW FIRES IN AREAS THAT
   RECEIVED LIGHTNING RECENTLY.

   HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE AREA BEHIND A WEAK LOW PRESSURE
   TROUGH. NWLY WINDS OF 10-15 MPH WILL RESULT IN RH DROPPING INTO THE
   20 AND 30 PERCENT RANGE WITH TEMPERATURES OF 85-90 F. PORTIONS OF
   SERN VA AND NERN NC HAVE RECEIVED LITTLE PRECIPITATION OVER THE LAST
   FEW WEEKS...THUS...A MARGINAL FIRE THREAT MAY EXIST THIS AFTERNOON.

   THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL FARTHER E INTO WRN MT AND ERN ID...WHERE
   MOSTLY WET STORMS ARE EXPECTED. LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RH WILL
   OCCUR OVER SERN OR...ID...CA AND NV. ELSEWHERE...HIGH PRESSURE WILL
   EXTEND FROM THE MS RIVER EWD TO THE MID ATLANTIC...WITH GENERALLY
   DRY CONDITIONS THERE.

   A LARGE AREA OF MARGINALLY CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS IS EXPECTED AS
   RH LOWERS TO 10-15 PERCENT WITH THE UPPER TROUGH LIFTING TO THE N.
   SWLY WINDS NEAR 15 MPH WITH LOCALLY HIGHER SPEEDS WILL BE COMMON
   ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON WHEN MIXING IS MAXIMIZED. A
   GENERALLY MDT HAINES INDEX...COMBINED WITH THE GUSTY WINDS MAY
