...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR NRN CA...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
HIGH PRESSURE IN THE UPPER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE COVERS A LARGE
PORTION OF THE U.S. WITH ZONAL WEST TO EAST FLOW IN THE PACIFIC
NORTHWEST BEING REPLACED BY A DEVELOPING TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE.
THIS WILL AID IN THE OFFSHORE WINDS ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
GRADUALLY BEING REPLACED WITH WEAK ONSHORE WINDS AND SLOWLY
INCREASING HUMIDITY. A LARGE SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BUILD
INTO THE CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN U.S. BEHIND A WEAK COLD FRONT.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - NRN CA...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: VERY LOW HUMIDITY...HOT TEMPERATURES...VERY DRY
   FUELS

ONE MORE HOT AFTERNOON IS EXPECTED FRIDAY ALONG WITH A CONTINUATION
OF VERY LOW HUMIDITY ACROSS THE AREA OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA THAT IS
IN AN ONGOING DROUGHT. ALTHOUGH NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS ARE
EXPECTED TO DIMINISH AND EVENTUALLY BECOME ONSHORE/WESTERLY...THE
HOT AND EXTREMELY DRY CONDITIONS DURING MOST OF THE DAY WILL
CONTINUE THE FIRE THREAT UNTIL CONDITIONS SLOWLY MODERATE BY FRIDAY
NIGHT. AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL AGAIN REACH ABOVE 100 WITH HUMIDITY IN
THE SINGLE DIGITS. FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING SHOULD SEE A
SLOW IMPROVEMENT IN HUMIDITY AS ONSHORE FLOW PROGRESSES INLAND.
