...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR SRN OREGON...NRN CA...FAR NW NV...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A STRONG UPPER RIDGE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE OVER THE WRN STATES
TODAY...PRODUCING WARM AND MAINLY DRY WEATHER. THE EXCEPTION WILL BE
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WRN GREAT BASIN WHICH MAY BE
PARTIALLY WET. DRIER STORMS ARE EXPECTED ON THE NW FRINGE OF THE MID
LEVEL MOISTURE RETURN FROM NRN CA/NWRN NV INTO SRN OREGON.

ELSEWHERE...HIGH PRESSURE BEHIND A COLD FRONT WILL RESULT IN DRY BUT
COOL CONDITIONS FOR THE PLAINS STATES...WITH MODIFYING HIGH PRESSURE
OVER THE DEEP SOUTH RESULTING IN DRY BUT CALM CONDITIONS.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - SRN OREGON...NRN CA...FAR NW NV...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: ISOLATED DRY THUNDERSTORMS...STRONG LOW LEVEL
   INSTABILITY...LOW RH

A GENERALLY WARM AND DRY AIR MASS WILL REMAIN IN THE LOW LEVELS OF
THE ATMOSPHERE TODAY BENEATH AN UPPER RIDGE. HOWEVER...A WEAK UPPER
TROUGH WILL SKIRT THE AREA AND MID LEVEL MOISTURE WILL INCREASE FROM
THE SE. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE
SIERRA AS WELL AS NV...BECOMING MORE ISOLATED INTO SRN OREGON. GIVEN
MANY DAYS OF HOT DRY WEATHER...ANY LIGHTNING STRIKES MAY START NEW
FIRES. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE 80S OVER CNTRL OREGON TO THE
90S F SW OREGON INTO THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY. MIN RH WILL LARGELY BE
IN THE TEENS WITH LOCALLY GUSTY SLY WINDS OF 5-15 MPH.

OF THE PLAINS AND INTO THE LOWER MS VALLEY/GULF COAST REGION. LOW
HUMIDITY AND LOCALLY GUSTY NWLY WINDS WILL RESULT.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - CNTRL AND NERN OR...CNTRL ID...

   ...LOWER MS/TN VALLEYS...GULF COAST STATES...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BE DRIVEN IN BY THE STRONG UPPER TROUGH TO THE

WINDS NEAR 15 MPH ARE EXPECTED OVER SERN MO/NERN AR AND WRN KY/TN
WHERE DROUGHT PERSISTS. FARTHER SE...WEAKER WINDS NEAR 10 MPH WILL
